It's sickening that this child murderer has become the poster child for PPD but all the moms who've committed suicide from PPD are just forgotten about

Did any of her care team testify? I haven't been following that closely. I did read that none of them had ever diagnosed her with PPD/PPP. The reddit/feminist defense is that she didn't tell any of her medical staff about hallucinations or voices...wait for it...because of psychosis. Very convenient!

Completely agree. Jail or looney bin for life is the only outcome. More just curious what it takes to make someone do something so bat shite crazy.

Yea bullshite. She was Dr shopping. There were not hallucinations

October 26 - Tufts prescribes 30ct of Ativan 1mg
November 2 - Tufts tells LC to taper off Ativan - down to .5mg
November 25 - Julie Paul prescribes 14ct Klonopin
December 6 - Rebecca Jalotta prescribes 1ct of Valium 5mg
December 7 - Rebecca Jalotta prescribes 2ct of Valium 5mg
December 9 - Rebecca Jalotta prescribes 8ct of Valium 5mg
December 13 - Rebecca Jalotta prescibes 7ct of Valium but reduces the dose to 2mg
December 18- LC goes back to Jennifer Tufts but is only prescribed Lamictal - unknown if taken
December 19 - Rebecca Jalotta prescibes 14ct of Valium 2mg
December 31 - LC goes impatient to McLean & they wean her off Benzos - she checks out after 4 days on January 5
January 5 - gets out of McLean and Rebecca Jalotta prescibes 14ct of Ativan 1mg (Benzo she just weaned off of)
January 9 - LC goes back to Jennifer Tufts and is prescribed 14ct of Valium 5mg

Other than the murdering and cannibalism, Jeffrey Dahmer was a saint. Kinda unfair he's demonized for that one mistake.

She was only being treated for postpartum anxiety and severe insomnia. Not full on PPD apparently and was never diagnosed with PPD.

Yeah, I get what you mean, but they’re not really the same thing. One is more like constant fear, overthinking, and worrying, while the other is more like sinking into a deep depression. And psychosis is a whole different level from both.
I also think it says a lot that, with all the doctors she saw, they kept treating her for anxiety and not PPD.

I haven't kept up with this case much at all. It's a sad one that pisses me off.
Does she have any history of police being called out to their house or arrests for domestic abuse or anything like that in her history?
Seems there should be some history of crazy there if she's actually crazy. You can't hide crazy that long.

FWIW, I am not downplaying either. I understand they are real and also fought depression about 20 years ago so I know it can put you in dark places.
I just feel like she is using it the same as any murderer who tries various attempts at an insanity plea.
