Having watched the defense's entire closing statement the more egregious statement from Reddington was, "This is a prosecution that has ripped the soul out of this girl." I would think strangling your 3 young children, including a newborn, would have already done that.

with 9 women and 3 men on the jury, no way they are going to get a murder 1 conviction. My guess is guilty on manslaughter or murder 2, NGRI on murder 1. Judge has been white knighting for the defense the whole trial, so probably a light sentence for manslaughter or murder 2. Prosecutor did a poor job up until the closing statement.

What I don't get is why does she want to be free?
She was so depressed before that she allegedly also wanted to die (though her superficial wounds despite being a nurse make that doubtful) so why isn't she begging for the chair now?
Also, no way would/could I live on thinking about what I did to my kids.

I have little hope she will be convicted. It's Massachusetts and the jury is mainly women. Not a good recipe for justice for those children, unfortunately.

Unfortunately the prosecution has to prove that she DIDN'T have a psychotic break. Which is kinda hard to prove when you can just say whatever you want about what happens in your own head. Seems pretty backward imo.
I say guilty. It's all fabricated. If found not guilty by reason of insanity she's still going to the loony bin the rest of her life, I'd wager.
Everyone online is nitpicking every detail of this investigation, so here's one the defenders probably won't like. She was such a good mother that when the doctor recommended miralax for her daughter's constipation at the morning appointment, she waited all day and asked her husband to do it while she decided to go kill her kids and extend the time he'd be out of the house. Why didn't she go pick it up after the appointment? or any of the other many hours they were sitting at home?
This lady should not be the martyr for women who have dealt with PPD. It's crazy what women are saying online about this whole scenario.

I highly doubt that. If she truly suffered from a postpartum psychosis that caused her to kill her 3 children she no longer has children and she seemingly hasn't suffered from the psychosis outside of the one auditory command. I would bet she will be out after the mandatory year because she won't be a danger to society. The psychosis was acute and has never reoccurred.
That is what pisses me off the most. My career is in child and maternal health and PPD and PPP are absolutely real things but you should still be punished for your crimes. If she were to ever get out of her institutionalization that would be a travesty.

She's a danger to herself. Did you see how she tried to end her own life? She ain't leaving that place anytime soon. (but I don't know shite - just speculating based on a couple of lawyers I've been following on the case)

Yep! Feminist liberals know a fellow lunatic when they see one and they will protect her. She will be free as a bird in no time. Probably have a multi-million dollar book deal locked down by the end of next week.
But if this was a case of a gun-owning homeowner using lethal force on a burglar or something, that homeowner would be in jail before you could blink.
