Pretty much all of the foundations for that were laid in Italy, where the overall fatality rate in mid March was over 7% and medical systems being overwhelmed despite being an advanced and modern Western country

Changes mind later and writes book outlining what we should've done and where the covid response went off the rails.

There was a time during covid when sports cars were on back order. Hellcats, porches, vetts ...
Boats, ATV and motorcycle dealer lots were thin.
So many people were buying boats during covid that if you put a for-sale sign on the old tri-hull behind memaw's garage it would sell for top dollar.

Mom and pop stores are shut down, but Wal Mart, Target, Home Depot and Lowe's are busier than ever. The largest transfer of wealth from the middle class to the 1% in human history, and yet leftists cheered it on. Supposed "punks" and anti-establishment types like Jello Biafra and Tom Morello cheered big pharma dictates and government mandates restricting personal liberty and autonomy.

A doctor isn't going to push unneeded meds for a $100.
Obviously, there may be some unscrupulous doctors, just as in any profession, but it isn't typical.

Or how about JBE sending the fire marshal office and state police to Livingston parish to shut down a restaurant while he's on the front page of the Advocate sitting around a bunch of people at the Country Club of LA without his mask on. And does this after saying, "you can hate me, just hate me with a mask on".
