I feel like my failed first marriage and divorce caused my children to be very careful before getting married. They all have great spouses and no red flags so far.

My parents were divorced although we mostly grew up with an intact family until we were 11-15 years old. Me and my 2 siblings have all been married 18 years or longer to our original spouses.

Just curious.

Why would you encourage him to avoid what had been the bedrock of society for thousands of years?

Where did the thread about the wife who got caught after 20+ years of marriage?

Before it got whacked, someone was urging him to quickly delete some post about "power outages". I didn't see the post but it was gone soon after that.

Never seen any men throw divorce parties but have seen a couple of women do it.

Men don't technically throw them, but they damn sure pay for them.

I’m sure his attorney advised him to take it down.

Somebody early on predicted that would eventually happen.

It was probably recommended once he went full in on divorce. It started as he thought she had cheated, and by the 2nd day he went full on ready for divorce.

Yes, two kids. That could be the reason from her perspective, but not mine. I can’t speak to her thinking.

I told mine that if they never decide to not marry that they wouldn’t have my support.

Facebook is the biggest culprit in my opinion.
They see an old fling or a girl you had the hots for post he or she is divorced. Then they star talking back and forth and the next thing you know you are divorcing to go be with other now single person.
I’ve personally seen it happen to friends.

Nothing says “I’m still hung up on my ex” like a divorce party or a trash the dress photoshoot.

The guy said if he posted pics of his wife he would be recognized even though nobody knew his screen name.

A whole lotta kids get fricked up in loveless marriages.

All that matters is that the parents put the kids first.

I celebrate my wife’s failed marriage every day. This is my first marriage and her second. I dodged the bullet a few times. She didn’t.

Her first husband was a heroin dealer and heroin addict who never held a steady job and that’s what blew that marriage all to hell. Now as her second husband I have a very very low bar to cross. Hey….I get drunk, I go to work, I’m addicted to fishing, I have drinks with my work friends, I have a steady job, I’m not overdosing on heroin at her parents’ house….I’m fricking golden.

Why marry early in life? Wait for the sadder but wiser girl…just as Damon Runyon said in “Guys and Dolls.”
