A few years ago I realized I had too many hobbies that needed maintenance.
Boats, motorcycles and ATV’s.
Born and raised in Hammond. This is 100% the reason!
Grew up going out in Hammond.
We never saw thugs out in the downtown area until 10-12 years ago. They started showing up at the Cates St area bars because it is closest to the hood. Crystal st area locally know as the third world area.
The bars in that area started catering to them by playing rap music etc. Even had Boosie play last year. It attracted people from everywhere.
Now the area is just getting the clientele and the crime that comes with it.
I usually pay extra for that
Stalekrackers portion was filmed on the Tickfaw River.
Absolutely drives me insane!
Ran across a group of at least 8 women having a meet and greet between the two sets of doors at the exit to the grocery store.
Hit the green clover patches with the weedeater yesterday afternoon to beat the rain today. But haven’t broken out a mower yet.

I do agree this week feels off.
I had to look at my phone this afternoon to verify if it was Tuesday or Wednesday.

I know quite a few of us followed his journey doing the Great Loop on his aluminum job boat. But here is a pretty cool video Tohatsu outboards made for him. And to think he really could have done it faster if it wouldn’t have been for boat hull breakage and not motor issues.
That and one night falling asleep at the wheel and ending up in the marsh somewhere in the Carolina’s.
I’m a huge YouTube documentary watcher. And it’s taking over all the original channels content. Usually with some fake accent and a lame video montage of pictures that don’t even pertain the the subject. A cheater way to get clicks and free money for creators that do little work.
Same with TikTok videos.
I’m also in sales. People that are not in sales will never understand how tired you get from talking business and putting on your sales game face all week long.
And putting on a fake face with family is just as tiring since you have been doing it all week.
I’ve learned that the first few times you turn down a family get together they get upset, but the longer you do it they drop their expectations of you being there. It sucks but it’s the truth.
Sundays are my decompression days, I’ll be damned if I go be miserable at some random cousins kids birthday party at the trampoline park!
Years ago after my wife’s company Christmas party, one of her coworkers husbands decided to leave drunk. He managed to jump the curb and get his car hung up on top of the railroad tracks. And of course a train was on the way and hit his car. They had plenty time to get out. But not the car!
That was the end of the open bar at the Christmas party’s!
There is a live feed on YouTube right now of the memorial ceremony at the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum.
Pretty neat.
I’ve always found this wreck interesting.

Dead at my smallish subdivision. I think people leave their houses these days to hit the big subdivisions.
Kinda sad. People always wish for cool weather and for Halloween to fall on a weekend.
Larson brand doors are super nice. But at several price points. From cheap aluminum to wood clad. Plenty of variations of colors and prices.
I 2nd PMC in Hammond. Actually west of Hammond right off hwy 190 between Hammond and Albany.
Good people.
I got one when I was in my early 20’s. No ones name or anywhere visible with a T-shirt on. But do I wish I didn’t have it, Yes. But it doesn’t even remotely bother me. It will never affect a job or relationship etc. if anything it’s something to say I did dumb when I was younger.
I’ve also been keeping up since the beginning. He started by crossing the Gulf straight across from Pensacola to Cape Coral without following the Fl coastline. That got him a huge time advantage over previous attempts. He was making great time until he fell asleep while driving and accidentally ran into the marsh in the Carolina's. He lost a few hours getting pulled out.
And then cracked the hull in the Great Lakes. So he spent a day getting it welded and fixed. So he could have even done it faster without having troubles. It’s been fun following along such a great adventure while being stuck at work! Lol
It’s all about timing. I used to work in the Mobile area. On a weekday I once went though the tunnel 5 times in one day with no problems. That would never happen on a Friday or Sunday in the summer.
The lake really is that blue. The White Sands lake is really deep. So it’s a green water. You can see the difference on google maps satellite view.
