Hugh Beaumont was not fricking gay. He was a conscientious objector. From Gemini:

As a devout Methodist who later earned a Master of Theology, his deeply held religious beliefs led him to refuse combat during World War II. Instead, he fulfilled his service as a wartime medic, treating and caring for wounded soldiers. He was married and had three kids.

No it never gave any codes which was why it was so weird. I don't know if its just a mind game but the house seems cooler and the unit does not seem to be running as much.

New AC guy came out and wow this guy is a 1000 times better than the other one. He listened to the issue and said let me check things out. He did find that the drain line was kinked up pretty bad making the pump work harder than it should. He got the pump cleaned up and put in a new drain line. He checked freon and capacitor and they were in great shape. He did suggest replacing the thermostat but stated the obvious that it may not help. I told him to do it anyway so he installed a Honeywell T6Pro. I like it! And he schooled me on filters. Said to quit buying the 3M filters and get the cheap 30 day filters He did stress to replace them regularly.

He said to call him the next time it does not work and he will try his best to get here as soon as possible. I was extremely impressed with the service. Fingers crossed. Thanks everyone for all the advice.

It is a Carrier Infinity unit and thermostat and no power outages on those days. I looked into getting a Nest but it looks like it's not a simple swap.

Weird AC Issue

Posted by Xignals on 8/21/26 at 8:01 pm
About three times this Summer my AC has quit working. I came home yesterday and the temp in the house was 82. I was able to get it working again by turning the unit off at the thermostat, leave it off for about five minutes then turn it back on. It then kicks in and runs normally. It did the same thing last Sunday and I called my AC guy, said he would come Wednesday and never showed. I have another company coming tomorrow but don't have much hope in getting an answer. Anybody got any ideas? ChatGPT says its the thermostat. I don't know what to think but i am worried its gonna quit and won't come back on. Had it serviced last year and it was in tip top shape. I keep my filter changed if that matters.

I thought Miami would be underwater by now.
Yea it was a fricking disgrace. But what does that have to do with the question I asked? The constant need to bring up what the previous administration did is amazing. Nothing can be done about it now but try and fix what was fricked up.

If the number of outbreaks are normal then just fricking say it and don't act like I just insulted your mother.
Any thoughts on if the reductions in FDA staff are having an impact on food safety?
I know most here hate him but John Oliver did a show on Flock cameras this past Sunday night. Very disturbing how much surveillance we are all under these days.

even worse than what they did to Speed Racer.

Thank you for that. I thought I was the only one who hated the Speed Racer movie.
Is the Red Rose still a thing there now or is it called something else? Had a good time there one night long ago.

AJ's was a swinger hangout once upon a time, or so I was told.
Yup I would follow her straight to the bed.
Is that the Nutty Putty cave map on his face?
You are not kidding. I have been watching some old episodes and damn there were some hot women up on stage.
We got to take a field trip to see the movie 1776.
Went to see Toy Story 2 and when Jessie is telling her story and that song kicks in. I a fighting like hell to keep it together and I hear behind me a mom telling her little girl "don't cry sweetie" I fricking lost it.

Gene Garber pitching to Pete Rose like it was the seventh game of the world series!

Those were fun times. The 1982 win streak to start the season. Will never forget the lineup with Murphy, Horner, Chambliss. Staying up late when they were out on the West coast. Skip Carry and Ernie Johnson were my favorite to listen to.
He was also Rube on Dead Like Me which I thought was great.
Have to say didn't see that being his demise. Wow.
