Are people staying at L'auberge/Golden Nugget/hotels around the casinos Courtyard/Hampton Inn off Prien?
Did hotels make guests leave with the mand evac orders?

Here is a pic of Ginger Zee for your troubles answering my question

Does it matter the timing of a EWRC at this point? If it’s beginning to reconstruct now, does that mean it has time to complete and reform again before landfall or has that time passed?

Same as the old bridge on 10 heading to Waveland.

IIRC, they didn't anchor the slabs down, they figured the weight of them was enough to keep them in place.

That was until a massive surge came through and lifted them off the supports.

Quite a bit. I was speaking just about surge.

Generally speaking the higher the winds the bigger the surge.

It's not.

No double max on recon. No secondary eyewall feature on radar.

I think the timing on that would be tonight.

When’s the next microwave scan?

Those usually show EWRC pretty good, along with flight data

Im not sure why it keeps being brought up so much

Ballsy prediction since Bereifk has already had a 40mph gust today.

I've been receiving texts from people that are observing this thread that they would like to see more scientific data.

Since slackster is a three fingered monkey, can you help with that and provide a bit of context behind it?

As long as no one’s on it and it doesn’t fall on anyone that wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world. Then they’d be forced to replace it instead of farting in the wind and telling us they’ll replace it 20 years from now when it needed to be replaced 60 years ago.

Or just replace the guard rails

If the NHC forecast verifies, #Laura would the strongest hurricane on record for that part of NW Gulf Coast. Words fail me at a time like this- simply put, it would change the course of the landfall area much like Katrina did. Gut-wrenching LINK
