He should have done a better job getting people to chill out in Donbas and honoring the Minsk II agreement. Did you ever see the video of him getting worked over when he went there? To his defense, he isn't really running the show.
The Donbas isn’t Russia
It’s part of the sovereign nation of Ukraine
He can get Ukrainians mad as they want another nation is in their lands

Serious question, does the U.S. have advanced enough drone technology to avoid ground to air missiles or an attack from an Su-57 (or something lesser)? If not how do you gain air superiority with drones alone?
This post right here let’s me know you shouldn’t be commenting on this war
You need to stay in your lane and learn
We could literally establish a no fly zone with 22s flying in east Germany and Poland
And strike any Russian aircraft before it even knows we are there. The biggest threat is there SA threat which we can also take out

The person you replied to was specifically talking about drones, not F-22’s (see below). He didn’t make the claim that the US couldn’t get air superiority over Ukraine with F-15’s/16’s/18’s/22’s/35’s….

Establishing air superiority with drones is stupid and unrealistic
To even act like that is an option is talk from people who don’t understand the battle space or air power

But you realize “a return to that ideal” has consequences right?… just bc the US would be isolationist, doesn’t mean the rest of the world would.
We all realize that when the US was isolationist, the two worst catastrophes in world history took place?… and that since we abandoned that policy, we’ve been in the Long Peace?
To be fair, this really only applies when viewed through a European major conflict lens. There’s been plenty of war in Asia & ME since 1945, still have Bosnia and other smaller Eurasian conflicts. And we’ve been involved in basically all of them.
We also don’t know the full extent of the current conflict either, which would make the point entirely null. If this spills over into a broader European affair we’ve ended up with another major European conflict spanning multiple nations and escalating KIA.
Not making an isolationist point, but one for the middle ground. Not practical to be isolationist and also not ideal to be as active as we have in a perpetual state for over 20+ years. I think a lot of people would have a lot more tolerance for todays policy in Ukraine if we didn’t spend 20 years in Iraq and Afghanistan constantly bleeding money, losing our own, and leaving behind billions in equipment to the very people we were fighting against in our exit.

Poland has sent at least 240 Soviet-style tanks to Ukraine, Polish officials said, enough for two tank brigades, as Western allies raced to help the country rebuff an escalating fight for its east.
The T-72 tanks were donated alongside self-propelled howitzers, Grad rocket launchers and other Soviet-designed weaponry from the stocks of Poland, which has become Ukraine’s key benefactor within the European Union. Collectively, the large donation of heavy equipment, described by four Polish officials briefed on the issue, shows the accelerating pace at which NATO allies, including the U.S., are helping arm Ukraine.
The tanks were sent overland in recent weeks, as Russia refocused its invasion away from Kyiv, the capital, toward the east. Poland has also given Ukraine locally manufactured surveillance drones and dozens of infantry fighting vehicles, as well as sending oil overland to keep the country’s military vehicles running.
“Ukraine got from Poland more than it asked for,” one senior official said.

From ISW:
quote:
Key Takeaways
Russian forces likely intend to leave a minimal force in Mariupol necessary to block Ukrainian positions in Azovstal and prevent partisan actions and are deploying as much combat power as possible to support offensive operations elsewhere.
Ukrainian forces are successfully slowing Russian attacks in eastern Ukraine, which secured only minor advances west of Severodonetsk and did not advance on the Izyum front in the last 24 hours.
Ukrainian counterattacks in Kharkiv are unlikely to develop into a major counteroffensive in the coming days but may force Russia to redeploy forces intended for the Izyum axis to hold their defensive positions around the city.
Ukrainian intelligence continued to warn that Russian false flag attacks in Transnistria are intended to draw Transnistria into the war in some capacity and coerce Moldova to abandon pro-European policies.

Even their smoke grenades are dogshit. Probably some Soviet era RDG2 that’s been sitting in a warehouse for 50 years.
