City was actively breaking the rules they voted for because once they knew they reached a certain level. They could make everyone else non competitive with them.
You literally have ex City executive saying that they actively targeted certain clubs like Villa to keep them from growing their brand so they knicked their players. Or Arsenal because they had to pay off their new stadium.
SFP argument about being denied the chance to grow organically is nonsense. When City were road blocking other clubs to grow and keep doing it now they are at the level they reached.

Because United has been throwing shite at the wall trying to catch up while not having the unlimited funds like City. City has also been able to off load players they paid over the odds for after a season or two while United haven’t been. A lot of that is because of squad depth and quality. Something City was able to do because they cheated.

If we include the shame payments. Just in the era that was investigated City’s owners put £2.2 Billion in the club. The next closest owner investment was Chelsea at £367 million. Thats six times more than the next closest club.

Also it came out one of City’s sponsors that gave them millions went bankrupt a few months later. It was one of those companies that take your direct deposit and put it on a card.
