Cocaine digitally added to Zelenskey video by Pro-Russian bots.
Frankly, I had greater respect for the Russian bots before this. After the Black Sea flagship sunk, they've become so desperate for a win, they decided to go for broke with the obvious digital trickery.

French media starting to call the election for Macron - good news for European unity.

I figured as much. Le Pen has a few good ideas re: nuclear and fracking, but she is just too out there on everything else. There may be a day to say FU to the EU/NATO, but now is not the time.

That would certainly be good for NATO stability at this particular time. The French have issues that can't really be solved by a presidential election, like the US, and so there will always be an undercurrent of, "let's try it, how much worse can it get?"

Looks like a major rally/ protest will be held in Kherson on 4/27. I wonder how the Russians will react to a massive, angry crowd.

Early on they didn't really do anything at the protest (sometimes they did break them up with tear gas or firing in the air and rarely at them from what I can remember) I doubt they will do much different this time other than move the cameras to show how everyone is super happy Russia is there.

They seem deal with Russian speakers a lot more gently than Ukrainian speakers.

Including deliberate starvation, Stalin was probably responsible for more deaths than Hitler. Hitler and the Nazis were unequivocally responsible for the death of more Jews.

Surprised there haven’t been more strikes on Russian bordering cities/assets since they pulled out of Kyiv. This is only a little over 500 miles from Kyiv. I guess maybe they don’t want to mess around and give the Russian populace a reason to buy into the war?

Old news, but the article goes into some detail we didn't have before.

#Ukraine had help from pro-democracy saboteurs in #Belarus to stop the Russian advance on Kyiv. A clandestine network of railway workers, hackers and dissident security forces disrupted rail links for Russian supply line. LINK

Last paragraph is particularly interesting
quote:
Now, a new phase in the rail war may be underway. In recent days the railway activists have posted on Telegram photographs of damage to signaling cabinets along Russian railway lines being used to transport troops into eastern Ukraine. The attacks can’t be independently confirmed, but Voitekhovich claimed members of his railway network are involved. “There are open borders between Belarus and Russia,” he said.

It seems kind of crazy to me that the Russians are so reliant on railroads for logistics. I get that they are a very efficient way to move large amounts of equipment/goods/personnel over long distances but they are also (seemingly) a pretty easy target for sabotage.

You're talking about a military that sent in armored assets without infantry screens.
