Those were pretty big explosions, too. The fires are in fairly populated areas.

Oryx numbers as of now. Total vehicles losses in red the subset of tanks in black. Note the way they report the numbers it would be hard for it to be an overestimate but easy to underestimate so I put more faith in the Russia number and less in the Ukrain number.

It may be within range of the Phoenix Ghost loitering munition. I haven't seen a published range, but it has a six hour flight time.

Looks like Russia just took itself out of the European Oil business. It’s ironic that this is exactly what they tried to do to Ukrainian utilities/oil refineries back in 2014/2022 Computers are hard. Welp that Stux.

Live by the E-sword, oil embargo yourself by the E-Sword. Ya hate to see it. Just like the Morton Salt company says, “When it rains it pours”

What is Russia’s current national fuel burn rate compared to their refining capacity?

If Ukraine maintains attacks on oil infrastructure combined with sanctions eroding refining capacity, what does that do for Russia’s capacity to attack?

The conversation since the withdrawal from Kiev is that the Russian’s will mass and break free on the east, but why won’t they face the same and worse fuel challenges that they did before? If they have 3k to 5k armored vehicles in Ukraine, their fuel burn to support an attack has got to be huge. Even assuming only 300 gallons per day per vehicle, that’s 900k to 1.5M gallons that needs to be distributed along a broad front. I am assuming the fuel burn would be significant reduced for defense.

How are they currently transporting that fuel? 1.5 million gallons is like 50 rail cars a day just for diesel.

I haven’t seen any analysis of the fuel question for this phase of the conflict.

Hopefully Maverickski and Gooseavitch got out ok

Not sure how many Fullback's Russia has but if they keep flying them at mid-altitude missions they won't last long.

There's a reason our 111's and Strike Eagles low altitude attack game is strong.

Hopefully, the Ukrainians can now target the bridge from Russia to Crimea. They’ve been getting long range weapons from the US and Europe. Russian territory is no longer off limits to the Ukrainians.

Not sure if this is true but a TB-2 strike 100 km inside Russia would be an impressive win for Ukraine.

The better, newer stuff is getting in country. There is a reason the Russians hit 5 railheads yesterday, they want to slow the arrival of all the 155s and armor.
