Nope. We probably agree 90% of the time.

It's like thinking that without cheese dip you want be able to sell Mexican food... But when you got a taco truck that also sells fatass delicious burritos you don't need to sell queso. Takes up too much space. That isn't discounting the influence and importance that queso dip has had on brick and mortar restaurants. 2 things can be true.

Also, the irony of a libertarian wanting to enable a dictator.
Lol. Didn't Ukraine ban 11 political parties recently?
No it suspended them. Which is a power that the Ukrainian Construction grants their President under their martial law. Plus only one of the parties had any MPs in the Ukrainian Rada. That political party was led by Viktor Medvedchuk.
If you recall, Medvedchuk was under house arrest for treason prior to the invasion. He escaped during the early part of the invasion and was later recaptured. At the time of his recapture he was actively helping Russia fight Ukraine which is also known as aiding and abetting the enemy in a time war or treason.
You getting your panties in a wad over Ukraine banning political parties while it is under martial law just proves that you are a hypocrite too. You want the USA to mind our own business but you are upset that the President of Ukraine performed an action that is legal under the laws of Ukraine.

I don't know about the rest of yall but I did not give a shite about Russia invading Georgia back in summer 2008. I was too busy drinking beer and chasing tail at Reggies and being a dumbarse college freshman to care about foreign policy. However, times have changed.

That's silly. Moldova is adjacent to Poland and Europe would be rustled like this.
No. Moldova borders Ukraine on the north border and Romania on the south.

Russian forces likely conducted local attacks on Ukrainian positions west of Kherson on April 21 but did not secure any new territory.[13] Ukrainian military sources reported on April 21 Russian forces are preparing to conduct a “referendum” to create a “Kherson People’s Republic” on April 27.[14] The Kremlin likely intends to create one or more proxy states in occupied southern Ukraine to cement its military occupation and set conditions to demand permanent control over these regions.
From ISW update today. Guess Russia going to Russia in a week.

Playing the Moldavans at Tennis is a pretty amusing book, but that is about all I know about the country. Hawk’s other book, ‘Round Ireland With A Fridge is also amusing.

Can y’all bicker on the politard board? This is warfare on a scale not seen in decades with weapon systems from around the world and tiger droppings can’t stop talking about hunter biden or pizzagate. Ffs there’s much more interesting things going on.

Aside from that, when this is over Ukraine will be the most combat tested country in the EU and second most in NATO aside from us. They’ll need to rearm, regroup, rebuild. We will help a LOT, but American companies will reap a lot of those beneifts. We’ll gain what should be a competent partner in the alliance, another natural resource trading partner, I’d hope. If we help create a more open economy in rebuilding theoretically it’s a much wider market for American goods and services than before.
First, that sounds like a beautiful dream, but cities in the United States and Western Europe may go up in mushroom clouds before that.
Second, What goods and services are we selling the Ukrainians besides weapons? We currently export more to Trinidad and Tobago than Ukraine.

Nor did SCL, I’m sure. In fact he probably berated anyone who did care as a neocon warmonger. He doesnt actually give a shite about Georgia now either, or he wouldn’t constantly apologize for the country that invaded it unjustly . It’s just another one of his endless whataboutisms.

Once again, you don't know shite about me. And if you did, you'd know I wrote a paper on it for my international law class, while you probably can't point it out on a map. So kindly f uck yourself.

I usually poke my head into this thread every other night or so to catch up on the random bits of information that didn't make the major newswires. Tonight, I was not expecting to have to wade through several pages of bullshite. Oh well. I'll try again tomorrow

Barack Obama laughed at Mitt Romney a decade ago for saying Russia was the greatest geopolitical threat to this country. Now the people who laughed at him then are the biggest Russophobes on Earth. There is zero intellectual consistency.
Au contraire. I am absolutely giddy that Russia's fake veneer is being exposed for everyone to see.
You see hypocrisy because you are (being) an ideologue and can only see through one lens.

Unfortunately A-holes gotta do what they gotta do -- spread shydt and everyone else has to put up with the crap. Would be nice if they took their petty personality problems elsewhere and everyone else stuck to the topic of the thread.

Good article.
I think they wanted Kiev, cut the head off and all that but it wasnt worth the cost.
Most surprising? getting beat badly in and around Kharkov. Its a major hub and the Russians either have to have it or reduce it.
