Some ATACMS variants also use inertial guidance which is not dependent on a signal. Provides sufficient accuracy when used with a cluster warhead.
A couple of decades ago, a lot of cruise missiles used terrain mapping and a terrain database to find their targets. That used to require serious computing power, but now can be done by the a good cell phone processor.

Russian occupation officials continue their efforts to militarize Ukrainian youth in occupied Ukraine.
That sounds like a good way to get fragged.

Valiant heroes display greatness of coalition opposing evil LGBT, capitalist West. In West, poor people forced to live and defecate in street -- not here! Look how beautiful everything when evil corporations not ruin everything. Western countries full of idiots who claim government oppressing them, but here everyone united in juche, work together for good of Korea.

When the war started, much of the Ukrainian defense industry was destroyed. And of course, Ukraine had very limited funds to devote to new defense production.
How should they use those funds? Should they concentrate on armored vehicles and artillery, like the Bohdana 155mm SPG? Should they concentrate on rockets like the Grim/Hrim and/or Neptune?
Ukraine made the fateful decision to concentrate its limited defense production budget on drones. Even though the US was donating drones with cool names like Switchblade, Puma, and Phoenix Ghost. Even though lots of other countries were also donating drones.
That decision has paid off. Now, there are over 60 Ukrainian manufacturers producing drones for the military, and over 90% of the drones they use are domestically produced. The "Drone Force" is its own branch of the military. Ukrainian drones wreak havoc on Russian ships in the Black Sea, refineries and depots, and military installations, allowing Ukraine to project force beyond its borders, despite its limited air force and the persistence of restrictions on the use of US weapons in Russia.
And they destroy ever-increasing amounts of Russian equipment and personnel. Russian troops complain about Ukrainian drones swarming everywhere, and that dynamic is increasing daily.
Take a look at today's list of losses from Andrew Perpetua. Notice that you can find losses due to shelling or mines, but that over 90% of the losses occur because of drones.
Ukraine has made a few poor strategic decisions in the war, but the decision to concentrate on drone production was brilliant. And it may just win them the war.

The tank farm hit a day or so ago near Rostov in total can hold around 120,000 bbls. Quite small for even a barge tank farm on a major riverway here. As reference, there is 80,000 bbls of storage for a 2,000 BPD simple refinery south of Egan, LA (Built for the entitlement program to force major integrated oil companies to pay small refiners $28 per barrel of throughput, few produced usable refined products)
This will still have an impact because obviously this is for refined products loaded onto smaller vessels for short voyages

Russia is throwing everything they can muster into Ukraine. Look for a possible break through somewhere. If not Russia has missed a big opportunity.

Companies do not open new ventures in countries they fear will fail.
I find it highly unlikely that the collective "West" will allow Thales or Northrop Grumman factories to get snatched by Russian forces. Not without one hell of a fight.
Slowly but surely, Ukraine is getting stronger and stronger. While Ukraine gets defense industrial capabilities, Putin is in North Korea asking for 152mm artillery shells.

Ah, have you read any BRR Myers stuff about North Korea? "The Cleanest Race," "Juche Myth," etc.? Pretty illuminating, and makes every nutty move they make understandable... it's all to keep the population within North Korea in their Orwellian bubble... if the outside world does not always represent an existential and directly personal threat, people might notice that they're starving. That's why they provoke responses to say "See!!! We must sacrifice and support Dear Leader or you will be raped and killed by invading Westerners."

Unlikely, as Kharkiv fell two weeks ago and Kyiv is undoubtedly next!

I have to wonder what China thinks about all this.
Russia giving NK military tech risks future escalation…and China is who will have to deal with NK refugees- not Russia.
