Good to see the USCG is keeping an eye hard on the Russians.

I continue to laugh at how tiny the replenishment ship is. Yet, it is the perfect size to replenish the fuel needed for two small ships to go to Cuba and back and perform some training along the way to and from.

It's half the size of a pre WWII oiler when crude oil tankers were not much bigger. So suitable for a tinker toy navy

putin will arrive in North Korea today to meet with Kim Jong-un, reports russian media.

One of the main goals of the visit, according to observers, will be to find ways to expand military ties between moscow and Pyongyang. In particular, the conclusion of agreements to increase the supply of North Korean shells and missiles to russia in exchange for the transfer of russian military technologies to the DPRK.

He's now arrived. I do wonder at the scale of assistance that the Norks will provide. I will say that the new depth of this alliance is very bad news for American security. I've seen estimates that North Korea now likely has 70+ nuclear weapons.

There are so many ways in which the stakes have been raised due to the fight in Ukraine. Every day, it gets more and more essential that the Russia-China-Iran-N. Korea alliance is defeated.

The Norks have tons of artillery shells. And artillery systems. That's really the only thing they could provide. Unless Putin starts asking for tanks.

They have some shite quality tanks. But I doubt he cares if he can just keep mass throwing armor at Ukraine.

He better add 10,000 artillery tubes, 5000 tanks, and 300,000 screaming shorties carrying AKs while he's at it.

If he expects to take Kharkiv by November...

Arguendo* this is true wouldn't that be a good reason to give them away. Seems like a pro for the Russiaphiles.

Wonder what the failure rate on the arty shells Russia begged of the Norks is.

What would you expect from MAGAtards? These same guys call their own partymen ''RINOs'' because they aren't lockstep in their worship of a guy.

What's with the insane hyperbole and these guys? Ukraine has lost 500,000 men. Now half of their weapons donated by NATO don't work.

ISW Update

Key Takeaways:

Russian President Vladimir Putin published an article in North Korean state-owned newspaper Rodong Sinmun praising Russian–North Korean cooperation on the eve of his visit to North Korea, likely to frame any future support that North Korea will lend to Russia as part of a common struggle against the West.

Ukrainian forces struck Russian oil depots in Rostov Oblast and Krasnodar Krai overnight on June 17 to 18, using domestically produced Neptune missiles against a ground target in Russia for the second time.

Ukrainian forces have now conducted two strikes with its own Neptune missiles against areas in Russian territory that are within range of US-provided ATACMS but that are also protected by US policy that has established a vast sanctuary in Russian territory.

The Russian government is charging Ukrainian servicemen and military officials with crimes in absentia as part of its efforts to enforce Russian federal law outside of its jurisdiction and insinuate that Ukraine should not exist as an independent state.

Founder of the Kremlin-linked Rybar Telegram Channel, Mikhail Zvinchuk, gave his second uncharacteristically public interview within a month in which he criticized the state of Russia's war effort in Ukraine and acknowledged that Western sanctions are negatively affecting Russia's industry and economy.

Russian forces recently marginally advanced near Vovchansk, Svatove, and Avdiivka

Russian President Vladimir Putin continues efforts to groom Russian military personnel for positions in the Russian government through the Kremlin's "Time of Heroes" program.

Russian occupation officials continue their efforts to militarize Ukrainian youth in occupied Ukraine.

Moreover, Russia has only lost 50,000 men, but they can only creep westward. How can that be?

They are slaughtering defenseless Ukes and can’t muster a significant advance??!

And the bots say Russia has lost 500,000 men and their weapons don’t work

This war would be over if either side’s fantasy were true.
