Just seeing if anyone has different numbers but looks lime Russia launched 83 missles yesterday but only 28 today.
In curious if the sharp drop-off is from stockpile issues or something else. I'm leaning towards something else just don't know what it would be.

so i get you have changed your stance but less than a year ago you were on here willing to commit massive amounts of american forces to protect ukraine and taiwan and in your own words "at all cost"
you were called out on it and shown the cracks in why that was wrong
instead of doing some research you turned into a scared child who essentially thinks we have to give putin whatever he wants. In that time frame you have had massive mental breakdowns and have admitted to having mental health issues
ill be honest, you need to take a step back from all politics for your health. half the shite we discuss on PT and even the OT has very little effect on day to day life.
i am not typing this as someone lecturing you or someone that is a foe or even someone who doesnt respect your opinion. i am saying this as a friend...if this shite starts getting to you and effecting your day to day life, take a break from this shite and just focus on ole miss baseabll and football....that should be bringing a smile to your face daily.
ok so how does this end? because unless they go nuclear...russia doesnt make the summer. it will be over. and honestly if ukraine wanted to, they could march to moscow eventually, US/Nato will not let them though.
so how do you see this ending?
here is why it cant or wont happen....because that 100% invokes article 5 and russia is wiped off the face of the earth in a matter of 6 months. the country ceases to exist and would be broken up into pieces and he is hanging in red square.
fine then there is nothing we could or ever could have done to stop it except just let him have what he wanted.
have we not learned anythign from the past? should we have let hitler and stalin just take what they wanted too? crazy people are crazy and will do crazy things but eventually good men have to stand up to them.
now i know you bring up their nuclear arsenal....have you looked at their budgetary spending on nuclear maintenance and compared on what it cost to maintain a nuke? I have. i didnt just read articles put out by inspectors who just looked at the missles....im telling you they have not maintained and do not have nearly the launch ready nukes tha is claimed.
be honest, knowing what you know now about the maintainance of thier equipment and their capabilities do you really feel that they have more than a dozen launch ready nukes?
and before you call me crazy, remember i didnt want any of this shite from the start. but that is too late now and we have a chance to take down our biggest historical geopolitical foe for a 2nd time without loss of american lives and more than likely stop aggression by our current biggest political foe due to them being scared.

This never ends with Putin in a U.S. or any prison for that matter. This ends with Putin either admitting his mistake invading and pulling his troops back to pre invasion lines or he gets thrown from office living or not really doesn’t matter.
now on to this post
Yeah, well it’s not going to happen. Maybe Putin is killed by his underlings, but neither of those is going to happen.

Surovikin's appointment likely reflects an effort by the Russian national security community to improve the delivery of the operation. However, he will likely have to contest with an increasingly factional Russian MOD which is poorly resourced to achieve the political objectives it has been set in Ukraine.
Russian milbloggers are treating this like the second coming of Georgi Zhukov. Surovikin is "hard charging", "lead from the front", "arse kicker" that will surely turn the tide. They are grabbing onto this more desperately than a drowning man latching onto a life saver.
The issue is Surovikin has been part of the Ukraine war since the beginning and, to be very generous, he's had at most limited success. After the initial assault his forces have made small advancements in some areas and have suffered stunning reversals in others.
This isn't the first "miracle" general that the Russians have appointed that will surely turn the tide. They've had a few that were appointed with great fanfare, putzed around for a bit, and then were quietly sacked. Or killed/captured by the Ukrainians.

i said eventually. because what is goign to happen is eventually russia is goign to run out of men at this rate.
now i know and you know that moscow would use nukes at that point and wouldnt give a frick. but pretty sure you missed my point
my point was that by the summer the russians will be so thoroughly defeated that they will have no choice to pull back or admit defeat/sign peace deal or launch nukes because if not ukraine is going to keep pushing
what i am hoping happens and what i pray happens is that russia decides this shite isnt worth it and is willign to have piece talks and order a cease fire. i dont care if that involves holding onto crimea or not at this point. but hopefully by spring we hae some kind of peace agreement.
but its funny out of my whole post, thats what you took.

Why are you so rude? Why don’t you like my tricks?

Gonna be really entertaining when Ukraine takes him out like the other generals they've targetted.

There's been a ton of stupidity in saying that this war is about NATO or something. If you want to understand why Russians are fighting, then you should listen to them. They repeatedly say stuff like this:
LINK
Click the link and watch the actual video, because there's more. This is why we say that Russia is committing genocide in Ukraine: not because they want to kill all Ukrainians (they don't, but they also don't care if they die), but rather because Russia wants to eliminate the very idea of being Ukrainian -- they want to destroy the identity of an entire people.

quote:
These [Ukrainians] are Russian people possessed by a demon. And we are not coming to kill them, but to change their mind. But if you don't want to change your mind, we will kill you. We will kill as many as necessary: 1 million, 5 million -- we will exterminate everyone, until you realize that you are possessed and need healing. The most possessed person they have is Zelensky. He's a possessed spawn: Hitler 2.0.

You never seem to display anything more than a sledgehammer command of English. Outside of a couple of "the only good commie is a dead commie" posters no one advocates for genocide in the thread. The fact you think something they propose will result in genocide does not mean they think what they proposed will result in genocide. It is similar to calling someone a liar when they honestly believe what they stated despite being objectively wrong.
You are horrible at dealing with nuance and in turn, it is one of your blindspots because you can't comprehend anyone else viewing the world in anything but your binary options. I imagine German has a long but nonetheless elegant word for someone that lives in a constant state of impending doom but my limited command of German leaves me with just calling it anxiety disorder. That by itself must be horrible but it must be a brutal life when your happiness rides on being right about some catastrophic occurrence. This leaves you in a state where just below the surface you are craving those doom predictions to manifest.
OML is alright with me. He's unabashedly fearful of the Armageddon conjured in his beautiful mind. Fear is paralyzing and I suspect such is why his language is so strong. But he does have something to say. The others, like SDV, Strannix, Brian, etc... they conduct drive-by criticisms of other POVs, never actually making a counterpoint. Rinse and repeat.

Exactly. OML beats the horse over and over again, but at least he debates his POV. And yes he goes over the top, but these other guys bring nothing. It’s as if they are programmed and don’t have an original thought.

But Ukraine is still the terrorists right? Ukraine didn’t invade anyone. Ukraine isn’t terror bombing civilians or infrastructure inside Russia. But Ukraine is still the bad guy here , right? Russia is just their savior coming to the rescue I suppose. No matter all the dead bodies and mass civilian graves they have left along the way, that’s just their way of showing they care maybe? Tell me, when Russia keeps getting pushed back further and further and further what will your excuse be for them then?

Here’s the pro Russian logic.
The US orchestrated an overthrow of the Ukranian govt. in 2014; consequently, Russia invaded. First Crimea, then the Donbas and now this year.
It’s all our fault.
They ignore the entirety of Russian history of attacking their neighbors and dominating their governments.

have I?
tell me where i am wonog at? is ukraine not taking back huge areas almost daily?
serisouly lets discuss.
what do you see happening? do you think russia is suddenly going to turn the tide? tell me how and when.
what makes you so confident after the last 2 months that russia can stop ukraine at any point without nukes? I am seriously asking and want to have a real discussion.
you specifically ignored the rest of my post though where i said it wouldnt happen.

Doesn’t surprise me as I doubt they have the capacity to do so and won’t until damaged infrastructure has been repaired. I expect they will have help from western contractors to perform repairs. I imagine it will take awhile (at least a couple of weeks) to get necessary parts, etc. but I have no special knowledge.
I suspect it will get western countries asses in gear about getting missile defense systems set up in Ukraine (already seeing it with Germany).

Putin's blunder means Moscow is running out of ammunition, says UK spy chief
Tue, October 11, 2022 at 6:33 AM
Months of crippling economic sanctions may be eroding Russia’s ability to wage war against Ukraine, with stockpiles of weapons, ammunition and heavy ordnance like the cruise missiles that hit Kyiv Monday running low.
In an address scheduled for Tuesday, the director of a U.K. intelligence agency best known for cracking Nazi Germany’s Enigma encryption machine says he believes Russian President Vladimir Putin has committed “strategic errors in judgement” that have imposed a “staggering” cost in people and equipment. Diminished capabilities to wage war could shorten the conflict, now running for nearly eight months.
"We know—and Russian commanders on the ground know—that their supplies and munitions are running out," Sir Jeremy Fleming will say during an annual lecture at a U.K. security think tank, according to a speech provided in advance to Fortune.
Fleming heads the Government Communications Headquarters, or GCHQ, which forms the backbone of the country’s intelligence services together with MI5 and MI6—the U.K. equivalent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Central Intelligence Agency, respectively.

Ian Bremmer claims Elon Musk told him that he'd spoken to Putin (Musk denies speaking to him recently):
Elon Musk Spoke to Putin Before Tweeting Ukraine Peace Plan: Report
quote:
Elon Musk spoke directly with Russian President Vladimir Putin before tweeting a proposal to end the war in Ukraine that would have seen territory permanently ceded to Russia, it has been claimed.
In a mailout sent to Eurasia Group subscribers, Ian Bremmer wrote that Tesla CEO Musk told him that Putin was “prepared to negotiate,” but only if Crimea remained Russian, if Ukraine accepted a form of permanent neutrality, and Ukraine recognised Russia’s annexation of Luhansk, Donetsk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia.
