Pretty sure in another thread it was stated as fact that Putin was invading as a result of NATO expansion and globalism. Someone should update Putin because he clearly doesn’t understand why he invaded
ETA err sorry, meant to say why he launched a “special operation” instead of invade
Eta #2 wait does this mean that what Russia initial stated as the reason for sending in their “special” operations was in fact propaganda?

I haven't heard many people supporting Russia. Just making fun of the specials in this thread that keep saying "Ukraine is winning". Like some children that think if they believe it, it will come true.

There are multiple posters who have said in this thread that they think Russia is justified and/or would prefer a Russian victory.
It may not be “many” compared to everyone posting in this thread, but it’s a significant portion of the anti-“Ukraine is winning” contingent.
That’s without counting the folks who claim to not be pro-Russia/Putin but somehow always seem to be defending them.

About the nazis, boys I hate to break it to you but we are the closest thing to a 4th Reich. During the war Hitler always plan to make peace with Britain and the US as they thought we were their natural Allies, before Hitler foolishly and against the advice of his military and political establishment declare war on the US, there were millions of German sympathizers here in America. Their plan was to keep us distracted with Japan, make Brits sign peace treaty, then take out Russia etc, and after we defeated the Japs, we would be tired of war and sign peace treaty with them. (they preferred Americans and Brit’s over Japs everyday and twice on Sunday) They thought the Jews in media etc were blinding us and the Brit’s into seeing the truth, we were natural allies.
For example, The best prison camp you could be in Germany was a US/Brit Officer camp. They weren’t kind to them but they followed the rules of war and treated them with some semblance of respect.
After the war, all the nazis wanted to go to America, USA if they could, South America if not. They took over NASA, Livermore etc and we protected them as Allies against communist all over the ducking world. CIA worked with ex nazis everywhere. We have them Brazil, Argentina with our blessings and help. We were are still are Nazi Allies. We adopted a lot of their shite.
Ask Mossad, or Israel.

In less than 200 years Japan has gone from full medieval feudalism to one of the top two or three most advanced societies on earth. When Commodore Perry dropped anchor in Tokyo Bay the emperor and his advisors realized Japan would have to modernize or die. And again 90 years later as Japan lay in ruins with a foreign fleet anchored offshore, it's leaders had the same choice.
I don't see that same recognition by anyone in Russia who's in a position to do something about it .

The Japanese really are the greatest cultural appropriators around. They periodically scan the world, identify who does what the best and emulates them. It’s a remarkable combination of being both incredibly traditional and adoptive at the same time.

If any of this were completely true, then Hitler would have never declared war on Britain. And he definitely wouldn't have thought the US would be cool with him after bombing the shite out of Britain.
Everyone around the world knew that whichever way Britain goes, so goes the US. There are no more natural allies than our two countries.
This was recognised as fact by Washington. He understood that it was in the US's best interests to remain close to Britain over getting close to another like France. And Britain understood the same thing.
If it ever came down to it, the US and Britain would fight the World alone together.
There's no way Hitler ever believed that we would be friends with Nazi Germany over Britain. And there's no way Britain would ever become friends with them after the destruction he inflicted on their "Little" Island.
