Have you ever been to a parade?
You’re a fricking dumbass, a whiney one, too.

Are we now taking every egregious action by a human being and simply labeling it as “stuff happens?”
Quite a jump from getting hit in the face with beads to someone being gang raped. How do you function in society?

I’ve personally seen parade riders throw shite entirely too hard

If you are gonna dare to go to a parade in the city you need to be prepared for an anything! Obviously the officers weren’t.

Crap like this is part of the reason the vast majority of my throws this year will be tshirts and krewe socks.

So they have Facebook posts reporting that this float was stopped and riders pulled over making racist comments. Which makes less sense

If you're on a float and one of the riders is acting a fool, everyone on that float needs to be a Karen and tell him to knock it tf off.
Expecting this will be emphasized by Lieutenants and Thoth officials before we ride on Sunday.

Trying to hurt somebody is assault. That is a crime.

We don't assault people.

It's now an excuse to be trashy.
Always was.
But we are discussing what is being represented as negligent or intentional injury and/or damage.
If true - unacceptable.

We honestly do frick some people up. Tyler Shough needs to be our Grand Marshall. All jokes aside, the problem is most riders throw the bag of beads and a not single beads

quote:I used to be in Tucks back in the day. One year the guy next to me passed out before the parade started and I had to throw all his beads. Woke him up at the Convention Center and he was ready to start tossing his throws!!!
Never heard of all riders on a float being locked off the float in the middle of a parade in all of my life.
Point being, drunk riders is a thang and there's no telling what can happen.

would have gotten Morris Bart to sue that krewe.
In LA attending a parade means you assume the risk of being hit by something thrown from a float. You can sue but it will be tossed from court and you will be paying attorney's fees.*
*Source? - There is an attorney in Metairie all the Krewe's use. The "Mardi Gras Lawyer" and we met with him on a case. The meeting was about 10 minutes at which he said "I will file for Dismissal and you will never hear about this again..." He was right.
