I lived in Littleton many years ago and was suprised to find how hot it was during the day there. 50-degree temperature swings between day and night made it somewhat manageable to sleep. Coming from Louisiana I would never consider a place to live without air conditioning, though!
I'd at least have 2 or 3 window units on standby.

Getting down into the 60's won't cool off the house;
Sure it will you just need a fan. We just got back from europe and only had fans in the airbnb's. It was mid 80s for the highs but low 60s at night and we were fine.

It was nice. I cut the yard and didn't sweat my arse off for once.

It’s August. I never expected a significant change in the weather. There is slightly less humidity for which I am grateful.
I’m more annoyed that the rain they forecasted never developed. Not that I want a gully-washer, but some cooling showers would be nice and help the hay harvest.

I guess this is where we will have to agree to disagree. I just got back from Europe as well and my wife and I were miserable both with and without fans. Fans made it better but it was still hot late into the night.
