It’s August. I never expected a significant change in the weather. There is slightly less humidity for which I am grateful.
I’m more annoyed that the rain they forecasted never developed. Not that I want a gully-washer, but some cooling showers would be nice and help the hay harvest.

I guess this is where we will have to agree to disagree. I just got back from Europe as well and my wife and I were miserable both with and without fans. Fans made it better but it was still hot late into the night.

Spent a week in the Keystone area playing golf in June with friends. None of them could figure out why the AC wouldn’t work in the VRBO. Because there was no AC. Still better than here. Played golf for six straight days and never sweated once. Was fricking glorious.

I’m in Colorado quite a bit. I bring clothes for all three seasons each day. I’ve left the house where the forecast called for a high of 78 degrees and a 65% chance of snow. Both can happen at any time.

No a/c in our Missoula, MT house. Usually even the 100+ days aren’t a big deal if you do it right with windows open until sun is up then seal in the cool air. But a couple summers ago we had to sleep in the basement apartment bc it wasn’t cooling off enough at night for a week or so.
I think I’m going to splurge and get at least a mini split or two.

We are in Cannon Beach today and for the next few. It has touched the upper 60s and will drop back the mid-50’s this evening. We have reservations at The Wayfarer, which is decent, but the view of Haystack Rock is the real reason people eat there. Our hosts warned us that it may get smokey over the next few days. Alas, we have had a great stretch thus far. If we get socked in here, we may head for Whidbey Island next. We hope and pray for your wellbeing.

Those keystone courses are beautiful. I just played the Club at Fox Acres in Red Feather Lakes with my brother and my dad a week ago. Didnt sweat once up there, nice breeze throughout the day.

Windows and shades open after 6 pm. Windows and shades closed after 10 am. Fans upstairs in key areas in living room and office. Basement stays cool and I sleep down there. On extra hot days ill run my sprinkler and go outside and get wet, then come back inside and sit in front of my fan. Sad, but efficient.
