Go have lunch at Nelson's at the Terranea resort in Palos Verdes and then walk along the ocean cliff path. Stunning scenery.

Fishing with Dynamite is a great restaurant in Manhattan Beach.

El Gringo is a good local (not-fancy) Mexican place.

Good Stuff by the Hermosa Pier is a great breakfast place. Then you can walk along the strand and enjoy the scenery.

Enjoy! The South Bay is a fantastic place to visit.

Hike: Cliff trail on the Palos Verdes Peninsula (start w/lunch at Nelson's at Terranea)

Gotta get a double chili-cheeseburger at Tommy's. Forget In-n-Out, it has become wildly inconsistent.

The Getty Center is a world-class museum in a stunning setting, if that's your thing.

If you like sushi, you're in the right city. Same w/Mexican. Hard to go wrong.

I lived in Rome for 2 years in the 90s. Magnificent city. Try to get back for a visit every few years. Went last summer for 2 weeks. Stayed in Trastevere. Glad you had a good time.

No. All the LC I inherited from my Dad has worked flawlessly for decades. His blue 13.5 qt from the 70s has made hundreds of gumbos, red beans, chilis, bologneses, cassoulets, minestrones, etc., etc, It will be passed to my daughter one day.

Yes, Bubs mid-city is legit. Never disappointed. Last time I was there Alvin Kamara was in the next booth w/a buddy. Dude looked ripped. Gave him a thumbs up when me and my family left and he smiled and nodded.

Las Vegas recommendations

I haven't been to Vegas in decades, but am going this Fall w/a college buddy to see Metallica at the Sphere. Arrive Wednesday, leave Monday, concerts are Thurs and Sat. We're staying at the Luxor. Any restaurant/bar recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Also, a good place to watch the games Saturday and Sunday? Thanks!

Get the half shrimp po-boy (dressed) and cup of gumbo special at Liuzza's by the Track. If you're in the mood for a beautiful walk after, the loop around the City Park Lagoon is great and will take you by Cafe du Monde where you can get beignets.
