What is Gov Roberto’s stake in St George? You’d think he’d have better things to do than jump in at a city’s local level politics and stop the wishes of thousands wanting better for themselves.

These people use words like heal, community, honor, and the like; but when it's time to make a decision it's all politics.

The Democrat machine in EBR is HUGE and has deep pockets (yours and mine). I'm figuring he's just trying not to piss them off so they don't start thinking about maybe supporting someone else. He won't have to answer for it in the primary and it costs him zero political capital, really. It's not as if the people he HAS pissed off were ever going to vote for him or give him money in the first place and it really won't move the needle in the rest of the state who could care less about Baton Rouge area politics. He doesn't really give a shite.

I didn’t vote for him last time, and I won’t vote for him this time.

Thanks Jindal. That is why a lot of people voted for JBE, Vitter promising more of what we had the previous 8 years.
You don't have a clue.
Bobby Jindal and David Vitter fricking hated each other and had a blood sport feud going on during Jindal's time in office.
Jindal did everything he could to make sure Vitter would not win including putting staff, money and other resources behind Scott Angelle and even encouraged him to go all in on Vitter's hooker problem.
Jindal abandoned Louisiana for a delusional pie in the sky Presidential run that was dead in the water before Iowa and Vitter had no such delusions and said that Governor would be his last political job.
In fact, Jindal timed his exit from the presidential primaries the same week of the 2015 runoff to remind people to vote against him, ie vote against Vitter. What a petty and spiteful piece of shite.
frick Bobby Jindal. I have never been so disappointed in a politician every in my life.

Screw you. Why should all of Baton Rouge suffer for incompetent leadership of the city

You really have no clue at all on the entire matter

Can you imagine the shite show of a legislative session this is going to be with Ted F’ing James and the other members of the Alton Sterling fanclub pushing BS bills trying to make this a parish-wide vote?

They may try, but it isn't going to happen.
We need to be smart and patient.
They'll bring out their big guns and we need to have some answers.

Pardon my ignorance, I live in the St. George area, and am a huge supporter of it.
But are we the only ones that get to vote for/against it (people that live in the area)?
I say that while remembering the Cats tax that I have to pay for but love no where near I could use it.

Wait until trump comes down to LA after the primary. You may feel differently
I seriously doubt it. That lying blowhard Trump won't have any significant effect. The idiots who voted for him were never going to vote for JBE anyway.

Maybe he realizes that the wishes of a few thousand closet racists who want to split off from Baton Rouge don't necessarily have the best interests of the city in mind.

Yeah, you were one of those idiots who put that clown Jindal in office, and who actually thinks he did a "great" job. You really think JBE cares if someone like you who would never vote for him in any case declares "you'll never vote for him?"
Posted on 3/10/19 at 12:41 pm to NYNolaguy1
Anyone who doesn't think race is playing a huge role in the St. George movement is delusional. They can use all the euphemisms they want to, but it's obvious what these people are about.

Maybe, but it appears he's in a strong position to get re-elected. Most people seem to be happy with the job JBE is doing.
Polls say different

Why should citizens outside of the city not do what's best for themselves? Why should they put people living in the city ahead of themselves? Obviously they base their decision on what they think is best for themselves.
You obviously have no clue as to what's going on and are either trolling or you are really just completely out of touch.
And you can take your racist BS and shove it.
