SG is looking to tax property to fund schools?

As if they would vote for a republican.

Well of course honor code JBE isn’t going to do anything that could hurt Democrats ability to steal more Money from the producers.
Typical liberal.
Typical liberal.

Jeff Landry just wrote a letter to JBE. It's posted on the SG Facebook page. Good stuff.

If It was down to Vitter and JBE again, I’d vote JBE again.
How the hell can you honestly say this when people are leaving this state in droves, we have some of the highest taxes and spending in the country with nothing to show for it and JBE has proven he knows absolutely dick about real economic development given that businesses refuse to invest here?
JBE is just another notch in the long list of failed politicians in Louisiana. Send his arse back to Amite this fall!

Motherfricker. This going to get fricked because the Dems are going to pour money in and bus in the retard motherfrickers to vote straight ballot and against St. George.

I voted for John Bel the first time thinking he was a moderate that could make up his own mind
There was and still absolutely no evidence that was even true.
He had one of the most liberal voting records in the state house ever, endorsed Obama and Hillary, was and still is associated with all the usual suspects that has kept Louisiana terrible and had absolutely zero original policy ideas to campaign on, just Jindal and Vitter bashing.
Winners make policy.
Losers go home.
And that’s why you need to research your candidates better.

Yep, there goes the Republicans for Edwards crowd.

Like I said before, Edwards just snubbed 15,000 voters who simply exercised their right to petition the govt. to incorporate.
He blew us off as if we didn't matter.
People in SG knew the mayor wasn't working for us, now we know the governor doesn't care either.
Let's hope folks out here have a long memory and a lot of friends that vote this prima Donna out of office.

I’ll be honest, after meeting him a few times through my old work while he was campaigning and considering who was running against him, I voted JBE.
If It was down to Vitter and JBE again, I’d vote JBE again.
And you’re part of the problem.

Yep. People that vote on likeability vs policy are the worst type of voters. Idgaf if I like the person that I'm voting for, only the policies they support. I'm not looking for a new friend

Jeff Landry and Edwards fricking hate one another and they've already sued each other multiple times (yes, as governor and AG). This could be interesting.

I just love the Advocate’s spin on this.
So the Advocate is trying to take the heat off of JBE’s decision and point the finger at the registrar of voters which is an appointed position.
So yes there is some back room politics at play.
The article also states about saving the taxpayers Election Day costs by having it on the October ballot, which I call BS as they would still place any simple small millage renewal on that date too without regard to how much it would cost.

Think November election will be better. St. George will happen. Let it happen when you have the most people voting.
I get pissed when we have a tax election during low turnout elections.
