Or he could just produce a more logical and reasonable order which allows certain people to go back to work while still maintaining social distance, etc.

Why would it mean schools have to open? Texas is opening up gradually and schools are closed for the year.

Sounds good to me, but that's a lie. JBE could just do phase 1 May 1st and they wouldn't rescind that order.

Where are all the people who said this was all just to avoid the spike in cases and ensure our hospitals are good? It was never about that. It was always about getting someone else’s money.

And as the poster directly above me said, I didn’t realize phase one eliminated us from federal aid. Again though, why can’t the state just cut their projects budget to make up for it this year? You know, like everyone else and every other company has to do?

This is a great example of why JBE actually needed to consider the ramifications when he decided to stay closed. This is on JBEs head. He's the one that misled the legislature. He's the one that unilaterally decided to stay closed. He's the one who offered very weak statistical support for the decision. He's the one that failed to describe what it would take to reopen previously, or even now.
