There absolutely is. I started getting what I thought was depressed in my late 30s. Went and saw my doctor, turns out my T levels were low. I'm 42 now and I've been on the gel since and it's been amazing.

Before I get the usual smart arse responses from some limpdick desk jockey, I'm a plumber who lifts and runs after work 6 days a week. Call me conspiratorial all you want, I absolutely believe something is being put in the water. Just look at how many soft arse men there are out there these days. It's more than just desk jobs and fast food. It's an epidemic.

Both of ya'll are plumbers, is there something ya'll deal with maybe, or are exposed to? I get it's a coincidence in reality, but I wanted to ask. I know ya'll work hard. I think OP's test is faulty.

Few years ago my numbers were on the low end of normal. Doctor had me go outside 20 minutes a day with no sunscreen. Started doing that and lifting heavier weights 4 times a week. Went back 6 months later and my numbers went up dramatically. She said a big issue our society has is not getting enough Vitamin D along with not lifting weights.

Diet is 90% of it and not being outside enough

I have a few friends on TRT. The doctor works with you to maintain a level that is good for your age. 1300 would be high for someone like me, mid-50's, but would be doable as long as my hemoglobin stays good.

Yes. I only been on it for a little over six months so we are still working out the kinks. I feel good at that level but yes if I were older I would not want to be so high because of the blood thickness issue.

Understanding the Secular Decline in Testosterone

I work in public health and have this study saved from the National Library of Medicine. Its a long read but worth it

It in, it gives possible causes to the global decline in T. levels including, obesity, cardiovascular disease, endocrine disrupting chemicals such as BPA and PFAS, exposure to pesticides, sedentarism, and much much more.

I could buy that, but when you look around the country, it leads one to believe it's more than just workplace exposure.

I went in specifically because I had zero energy, couldn't sleep, was having depressed thoughts and mood swings. I couldn't get through a normal workout, noticeabky so. It was more than just "oh, you're getting older.". Something was definitely off.

I know it sounds like some tinfoil Alex Jones they turned the frogs gay right wing nut job theory, and maybe that's exactly what it is, but I really believe more and more theres something more at play here.

Diet, sedentary jobs, the internet all contribute. In major way. But my levels were at apx 200. At 37. That's not right. And I could buy that I'm an isolated case, but look at the impetus for this thread. It's everywhere. It just feels like there's more at play here. Because I work a physical job and workout on my own. It's not like I'm a lazy fat arse.

Yes, and a lot of it is due to using Teflon skillets. I'm raising my 6 year old grandson so we threw all those types of cookware in the trash

It’s life changing IF you actually have testosterone deficiency but once you stop taking it your natural testosterone production greatly decreases so IF you are young and are just doing it for muscle bulking it can have long term consequences in your 40’s-50’s

Some tips:

-Dont drink alcohol- two beers or two glasses of wine per week at most
-take ZMA before bed and Boron and vitamin D when you wake up
-Eat lots of fruits, veggies and quality meat (not ham, bacon...); minimal carbs
-Sleep at least 7 hours a night (get a cpap if needed, more people need them than they realize)
-Work out hard 5 days a week but dont overdo it (1 hour max session- high intensity for too long can break body down)
- cold shower every day
- get alot of sunlight at least one day a week- cut grass without a shirt on, sit in the backyard on a weekend...get outside!
- do your best to have minimal body fat. Fat around your midsection is particularly detrimental
- dont overdo it with caffeine
- try to minimize stress - workout out hard should help with this

Some people definitely need medicine but if you do all of these things its extremely unlikely you will have low T

From what I've read, the HRT levels get people back to normal and not at levels body builders use. I could be wrong though.

Go ahead and ask for an order for therapeutic phlebotomy. Good chance your hemoglobin will rise and make Blood Pressure hard to control. Usually can be done at local donor centers. Plus we are preventing a catastrophic decline in blood products
