It’s life changing IF you actually have testosterone deficiency but once you stop taking it your natural testosterone production greatly decreases so IF you are young and are just doing it for muscle bulking it can have long term consequences in your 40’s-50’s

umm thats why its called testosterone replacement therapy not a steroid cycle.

and what long term consequences? that you have to stay on TRT for life? there are no consequences other than having to be on and having smaller balls. only other would be if you start before being done having kids and having to come off and do a full post cycle therapy to regain sperm count, but simply using a SERM, HCG and then HMG to kick start remedies this too.

but who gives a frick if your balls are smaller, just make the shaft look bigger. balls dont do shite and if you want the balls to stay, just combine with hcg.

and of course your natural production shuts down. your body has no reason to waste resources producing when you are giving it to the body from another source. and if you are at 68 at 31....you already have testosterone deficiency unless you are a fat frick alcoholic.

From what I've read, the HRT levels get people back to normal and not at levels body builders use. I could be wrong though.

that depends

but in general if your body is producing normal levels before for age(not the range the doctor gives, but for your age) then yes with proper post cycle therapy you can regain most if not all production. but TRT specifically refers to the treatment of lack of testosterone production not a steroid cycle and is meant to be the replacement for life, not for a set period of time. many of you seem confused on this.

as far as that number the op posted...i was in the 600-800 range until i literally turned 29, suddenly i went below 200....was trying to get wife preggo and went to one of the best doctors in the world on this. immediately identified i had a varicocele in left testicle that had gotten considerably worse causing my levels to drop and sperm count to go with it, after having zero issue with first 2 kids. put me on a SERM and HCG and said if doesnt happen in a year will need surgery to fix the varicoceles and put me on a SERM- 50mg clomid eod, 3000iu of HCG EOD and kick started with hmg. told me this will either restart everything or you will have to do trt after she gets pregnant. got her preggo 3 days before the schedule surgery, found out after.

came off everything and tested under 80, 3 times in a 6 week period. everything else perfect, had to get on trt. changed my life and felt million % better

I had mine tested because I have low energy/mood lots of time in the early evenings.

60 y/o. Testosterone = 711. Free T (calc.)= 129

figure it may be diet or poor sleep

It's your diet. If you have a big gut then the food you are eating is slowing you down.

I havent had a vasectomy, and didnt get blood work specifically to test T.

I got like 3 vials drawn for just general bloodwork. He seemed to think it was trustworthy. Hes been doctor here for like 40 years.

Lifestyle makes a huge difference and you should make those changes before considering hormone therapy.

THIS. Eating cleaner with more protein, lifting weights (heavy compound movements esp) 4-5 times/week, getting adequate sleep consistently, cutting way back on alcohol all make a huge difference in T levels

Grok says:

Yes, both BPA (Bisphenol A) and phthalates (likely what you meant by "phthaltess") are endocrine disruptors that can negatively affect testosterone levels.

pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov

BPA and TestosteroneBPA, commonly found in plastics, can linings, and receipts, acts as an estrogen mimic and interferes with androgen (male hormone) signaling. Studies in animals and humans link it to:Reduced testosterone production in the testes (e.g., by disrupting steroidogenic enzymes like StAR and affecting Leydig cells).

sciencedirect.com

Lower serum and testicular testosterone, sometimes with altered LH/FSH levels.

Impacts on sperm quality, testicular development, and overall male fertility.

Effects can vary by dose, timing (e.g., prenatal or adult exposure), and individual factors, but many studies show decreases in testosterone, especially with higher or prolonged exposure.

In both polycarbonate and epoxy production, BPA is chemically bound into the polymer structure during manufacturing. However, small amounts of unreacted (free) BPA can remain trapped in the material and potentially leach out, especially under heat, acidic conditions, or with prolonged use.
