I have 2 Stihl weedeaters…this certainly isn’t true.

Me too and both have been hard starting pieces of junk. Both sit in the shed broken while my girlfriend does our weed wacking with her new battery powered unit.

I have a battery Husqvarna. It's great and always turns on when I use it once a year

Stihl+good oil+non ethanol= zero problems

Yep. I run the 462 and 250 every other week and they start right up. I’m using them once a month. I want the 250 to die so I have an excuse to get a 262, but the harsh treatment just pisses it off and it works harder now.

bought my little badass stihl in 2011 and it’s never failed. non ethanol gas is the ticket.
my saw sits for months at a time and always cranks when i need it.

I bought a decent Echo chainsaw a few years ago to cut a few trees down on my mom’s property before selling it. Got it home and cranked it up on the second pull. Get to my mom’s place the next morning, fire it up with no problem, then discovered the idiot at the store ojt the chain on backwards. Turned the chain around the right way, and could never get it started again. Took it back that afternoon and got my money back.

I have a Makita battery powered one now.

Got one last year, it’s perfect for neighborhood jobs and can’t still cut a pretty good sized tree.

We had a good sized Bradford Pear fall in our yard right before Christmas. My electric chainsaw chewed right through it when I cut it up so the city could come pick up the pieces from the curb.

Why would I do that type labor? That’s what you hire poor people for..

Because men weren’t meant to sit on their arse getting fat.

The weed eater.

Cleaned the carb on mine and cranked it up. Ran fine. Killed it to change shoes, crank it again and ripped the pull chord out.

I’m about to toss it and go electric

I picked up a 60v Toro at Home Depot for 75% off (50% off, then with a 50% off lowest price sticker on it). Has run great for what I needed.

Picked up a Ryobi pole saw, that little fricker has been great too.

They break and get stuck a LOT less often if you know proper cutting technique. There’s a science to it.

Nothing more useless than a small chainsaw. I bought a 20” Husquavarna and it doesn’t cut shite. I literally have a Japanese handsaw that is faster.

I use mine so infrequently that I usually pop a new chain on and rebuild the carb every time. (Like once every 3 years)

I bought a shindawa after Katrina and don’t think I’ve ever had it serviced. Use it a few times a year and it fires up after a few pulls. I’ll never understand how this thing performs so well.

All day, every day. I have Stihl chainsaws, blowers, and weed eaters. Everything else has Honda or Predator motors. Can’t go wrong.

Other than trying to start. I have 4 pieces of stihl equipment and they are all hard to start. My big echo saw is much easier to start and keep running.
