That amount of planning and effort makes the trip miserable.
You used to be able to just show up and outlast other people to ride all the rides. No more.
You have to spend entire time glued to your phone in the app to actually get your money's worth now, it's pathetic.

Instead of paying, girlfriend and I got a DAS pass. Basically, go up to guest relations and say you have IBS or some shite and it is the same thing as Genie+ but it’s free and you can use it anytime you go. Saves time and money, and you don’t have to show any proof of your illness or whatever
I hope you don’t have children that you’re setting an example for. But if you do there is a 1000% chance that your children are pieces of shite just like you. There’s also a 1000% chance that your mother and father were massive pieces of shite who never contributed anything to society aside from spreading STDs.

It was great. With the genie+ you can go to 5 extra drag queen story hours per day and the drag queen shows your her penis

Or I actually do have IBS and don’t feel like giving Disney more money? Your keurig must have fricked up your coffee this morning

We did Individual Lightning Lane and Genie +, because frick a line.
Stay at a resort and then for whatever park you're going to:
Wake up early, snag first available ILL and book best available Genie+ option for earliest available time.
Get there at the earliest time you can get in, and make a beeline for the other ILL ride (or best Genie+ option) without a reservation. Line will be 30-40 minutes (probably.)
Then you can hit your Genie+, your ILL, etc. and continue booking Genie+ shite as soon as you check in for your currently booked one.
We did this and were out of the park by lunchtime, over to the pool, knocked out lunch and park hopped (usually Genie+ing for that park) in the afternoon.
Is it more money? Yep.
Is it 87% less bullshite? Double yep.
It went from money sink AND time sink to just a money sink. We rode everything we wanted to, ate at all the places we wanted to and had zero stress in the experience.
I thought I'd NEVER want to go back, but would, and would do it the exact same way.
Three hour line for Rise of the Resistance to save $15? frick that noise.

I went to universal in October and if that’s better than Disney I really don’t want to go to Disney. One roller coaster?

No ETA: we used it for a one day trip to Magic Kingdom, and most of the time all you're able to book are rides that don't have much of a wait time anyway. You might get to skip two decent ride lines a day.
Plus the fact that TOP attractions are further paywalled and not included in the Genie + Service.
For DISNEYLAND specifically the cars ride, Spider-Man ride etc. you have to pay an additional 20 per person, per ride, on top of the genie fee

This hasn't been the case in quite a few years. The DAS system is much different now.

Genie plus works a lot better at Disneyland than Disney World. However, you will get a lot out of it at Magic Kingdom and Hollywood. I would bother with it at Epcot or AK. Really the key is to get there as soon as the park opens. Early in the morning and late in the day is when you get your shortest lines. Also, look up lines with single rider lanes because those move fast as wel

“Good deal” is not a concept Disney markets.
You pay and pay and pay.
You pay and pay and pay.

Just wanted to say that im here is Disney for first time period. Have kids.
Genie+ service is godsend. Worth every penny and I would pay even more if they asked for it

quote:If people only watched ESPN for live games, Disney would go under. There's a difference between spending a few dollars a month and spending $2000+ every few years at one of their parks.
As you continue to pay increased prices for whatever cable or streaming service you have that allows you to watch games on espn

Disney and good deal should never be in the same sentence.
