If you want to get to the bottom of it, it's impossible not to talk about race and the major demographic differences between Montreal/Quebec and Louisiana. Sorry facts are "racist."

Fun fact: The Acadians didn't come from Quebec. Most of them came from New Brunswick, which even today is a lot less economically vibrant than Quebec.

Fun fact #2: Most Acadians were first deported to France, which didn't want them either. Spain, which owned Louisiana at the time, was eager for settlers and provided the transportation for the Acadians to immigrate there.

How did us baws turn out so badly? Compared to Lousiana, Quebec seems a lot more “cultured”, educated, and happy. shite just works and functions as a society.

Whereas in LA it’s always crime, poverty, failing infrastructure, and corruption. When and where did we make the wrong turn baws?

Who knows? Quebec is full of Canadians too.

I've done business with Cajuns, and I've done business with Quebecois, and I'll take the Cajuns any day of the week.

You say their government functions well; I think it damn well better function well, because I can't imagine those idiots managing to so much as tie their shoelaces without its help.

There is probably not a cultural or ethnic group on the planet I hold in lower esteem than French Canadians. If you feel otherwise, I can only assume that you are being shown a Potemkin Village of best behavior.

Do you really want to speak French in an otherwise English speaking country? Quebec is the shithole of Canada.

Also, you need to go to Acadia.. not Montreal. Check out New Brunswick and get back to us. Trailer park boys is a great show and could easily be recast in Louisiana.

There are nicer places to live than that freezing arse socialist Canadian Eutopia, lol. I’ve been there to Montreal and all over Quebec as well as Nova Scotia. It’s not that great. I understand Louisiana isn’t it for you. There are plenty of other nicer places to live than Quebec, Canada. It’s also expensive as hell to support that nanny state.

I was just there for the Grand Prix. Food was great, people were friendly, even the female cops were attractive and in abundance.

There was one element that was not as prevalent as Louisiana.

Adcadiens made up a very small portion of LA settlers
You have:
Italians
French
Spanish
Africans
Creoles
Germans
Indians
Whatever you’d consider easy Texans to be
And more bandits and outlaws in the piney hill country

Not exactly all of them are necessarily considered to be peaceful, incorruptible, moral cultures

Family came down from Nova Scotia, not Quebec.

Quebec wasn't settled until after the wars. We were kicked out because we wouldn't pledge allegiance to the King.

And Louisiana was because of Spain and Catholics vs settling with the protestants in other colonies.
