re: Does Europe have any Rednecks?

Rural Polish are called “cold elbows” because they drive with their arms leaning out the window.

Was told this by a Polish friend while hanging out in their cabin an hour out of Warsaw. It was very country. Cool people too.
Landry needs to take a big step back from LSU.

What a clown yet the guy just doubles down.
There are bridges over 100 years old that still carry traffic.

Dawg, we have 60 year old infrastructure standing between modern aviation and total catastrophe.

I’m not saying any of this is great, but let’s just put all of this aging infrastructure into perspective.

I’d be interested to know where they sourced their data from, and what the regional breakdown looks like. I question a random X account that does not provide the source of their “data”.

Regionally that does not track with what we are experiencing in the Atlanta metro… but there could certainly be a glut localized in places where folks are fleeing.
Article says she is from south London, but she is 100% from Liverpool or Newcastle with that trash look going.
Anyone have any tried and true remedies for neighborhood dogs? I have tried coffee grounds around the dead patches to encourage them to piss elsewhere but I’m not sure it’s having an impact

I’m not going to pretend to understand the move.

So I am going to choose to believe that Jay hates the Aggies as much as I do and is just intent on ensuring he ends that cult’s baseball season, tourney results be damned.

We have a lot of seriously sick individuals in this country who don't value the lives of others at all. In their minds, this is acceptable behavior.

Agreed. Look at this instance, and the lack of uproar from the right about the deaths in Gaza. Yes a lot of terrorists are getting whacked, but the collateral damage is significant. If the US had done what the Israelis are doing in Iraq or Afghanistan, the uproar would be (justifiably) immense.

This country needs to get out of the business of playing world police and enabling regional conflicts that have zero to do with us. Protect our security interests and economy. That's it.

Are you on septic or sewer? If the later could just be the stench of Spaulding Co?

Seriously though, if on septic I’d have a specialist come out and look. I think the solutions are much more straightforward if it’s a septic issue.
Took about four months to notice it, but the foam has absolutely worked for me. Filling in thin patches around the front of my hairline. Twice daily (most days), but I took a before picture and can clearly notice the growth of new hair. I’m now seven months in and recently switched to oral minoxidil (1.25mg daily), not sure if it will generate the same results but it certainly is more convenient.

An added benefit is that minoxidil is a blood pressure reducing medicine. Hypertension runs in my family so hopefully it is an ancillary off label benefit… but obviously not the focus of the treatment for me.

Stick with it and take some pictures today to compare results in a few months.

Looking at your picture, I’ve had the same experience at Canes and Guthrie’s.

Chick fil a isn’t the be all and end all, but I’ll give them credit their portions and nugget or tender sizes are always consistent.

I (personally) place more value on consistency than a price point. I’m much happier to know what I’m getting, and then decide if the price is to my liking.

re: How do short range planes get to Asia?

Typically outfit the delivery aircraft with ferry tanks. They’ll replace some seats and run the tanks from the cabin.

I saw a documentary a long time ago about ferrying Cessna caravan (single engine turbo prop) to Hawaii. Basically it was loaded to its max take off weight with extra fuel tanks and they sent the seats by ship.

He was dealing today and pitched a masterpiece but this was very telling.

Crowd was on him all day but you’d never know from his reaction. He handles his business, throws the CG and only then the bravado comes out.

He and Anderson can carry this team deep if the bats come up with a little more consistency.

re: ATL Airport parking rate increase

That is nuts, ATL West is nearly doubling.

That said, most lots are entirely full so I guess the demand is there but damn.
I’m two pages in and not one person has question this random arse source. A quick google search reveals nothing corroborating it.

Yes China is absolutely asshoe. But you are getting trolled here.

re: 3.5 Days in Maine

Bar Harbor and Acadia are awesome. So is most of Coastal Maine. Flights to BHB may be tough (only Cape Air serves them if memory is right). Consider Bangor BGR if set on BHB.

Portland is very cool. Look at the Casco Bay "mail run". Its like 10 bucks to ride on the ferry as it makes stops at four islands in Casco Bay. You can bring food and drink and just have a picnic taking in the beautiful scenery. We did it a few years ago and for $30 three of us had lunch, a few beers and an awesome 2.5 hour bay cruise.

Yes, make sure your card has no exchange fees (not even sure it matters in Canada to be honest). And make sure you pay in the local currency if they ask or you’ll get a worse rate on conversion

This, a lot of places will give you the option to pay in USD when you present your card. Their system will do the conversion and charge a few percentage points for doing so. As long as you have no foreign transaction fees always elect to pay in local currency.

Also do not use your debit card, most charge a foreign transaction fee.

My question is how much paper currency is adequate?

I like to have a little cash on hand for tipping or smaller vendors if in the city, but as has been said you'll be fine with just a credit card in Canada. Enjoy!!
I'm sure folks said the same things in 1930s during the great depression or during desegregation in 1960s.

I agree, let him go out in the midweek and throw 80+ pitches, get confidence throwing his secondary stuff to lesser competition rather than taking lumps against an SEC lineup right away and tap him as the three guy later this year or in the post season. His stuff is plenty good enough, just needs to get reps against college bats.
