That’s punishment enough IMO
On top of that the dad is a former law enforcement official and currently a minister. So to know that your child took a life in cold blood, that has to be torture.

screw his dad for raising a POS son who is capable of committing such a heinous crime. His son was obviously weak and not capable of resisting the brainwashing from the leftist propaganda machine. That says something about his upbringing.

I am a parent and I can see that you may have understood my post, because I was not clear in stating that this wasn't necessarily about this recent shooting, but all others in the past. That's why I used the word teen, which this guy was not.
When a teen is in your home, you have more access, oversight and contact with them.
My son is 22 amd owns 7 guns. He is still in college and also in the Army National Gaurd. A good kid all around, but I watch and observe him and we talk about current events. If he ever threatened to shoot anybody, I would call the cops in a second. You know why? Because I love him to much to not get him help.

Now analyze the right wing propaganda machine
Independence and objectivity are the sexiest things alive right now, right behind Livy Dunne and Bkue Bell ice cream.

There is more to people turning out right than just good parenting. Don't think because your kids turned out perfect it was 100% you.
Case in point. I went to high school with two twins. One was a grade A student, played in marching band and went on to get an engineering degree and is a successful person in life. His twin was a complete druggie. Would do any drug known to man (booze, pot, coke, glue, etc.). Dropped out of high school, knocked a girl up and eventually died in a car crash while intoxicated in his early twenties.

You know this how? Have you not seen great parents with awful kids? I have.

Do you have kids?
If not, kindly stfu.
If you do, then you realize you cannot control them as they get older.
You do the absolute best to prepare them for this world. There have been some really terrible people, come from really fine families.

Yeah, no. It doesn't work that way.

This has been empowered to teach kids and push leftist drivel since covid and summer of love in many school districts you wouldn’t expect and of course in the ones you expected. Don’t underestimate how quickly moderates and liberals teaching and running districts adopted the leftist “reforms” and goals.
I have no doubt many existed before, but they knew that they had to stay relatively in line.
With age of shooter he might have gotten tail in of high schools pushing equity and then college quit becoming a place to exchange ideas and freedom of diverse thinking even in what would be considered conservative areas. Some professors started pushing kids to confront parents beliefs and confront neighbors while home for breaks. Canceled on social media and canceled on campus if you didn’t toe the line on both.
Some kids the same age have come out of that ok, but it was definitely something most parents were not ready to address especially with the scope and speed it occurred in many schools, districts, and then colleges.
Online learning also made it more difficult to control social media with younger kids by controlling devices as they needed one to do all school work including when they went back into the classrooms. Things like Apple’s screentime were a joke with kids finding bugs to exploit and then sharing across the country. I know it is for younger kids which the shooter was not during covid & summer of love, but screen time could be so bad at times I used to think person over it or coding it was doing it on purpose.

He is a mandated reporter as a law enforcement officer and didn’t have a choice unless he wanted to face charges himself

No, people are getting a little carried away here. We literally dont know when or how it occurred, or know enough to determine much.

He had no other option
He was law enforcement. He saw his sons picture, and knew his location
Not arresting him would have led to aiding and abetting. Cops dont do well while in jail. It was either his monster son, or himself going to prison. The LEO community would not have glossed over him allowing his son to evade capture.

I have lived long enough to know some seeds are just bad no matter what you do. My prayers are with the father and the Kirk family because of frick heads like you that will blame him despite not knowing a fricking thing about him. You are part of the problem
