Get a really cheap cabin on the lake and invest the rest. I'm trying to go straight into retirement and live a simple, easy life. I dont need to ball out.

Buy as much property as Possible, along Beaver Dam Creek, in Limestone County, Alabama. Probably wouldn't get much these days.

Buy a house and car in cash for around 400k, put 25k in checking, 50k in savings, 100k in a mutual fund backed by precious metals, and the remaining 525k I would split between CDs and ETFs. I’d then get a job and start a 401k in which I would throw all of the accumulated interest off of the aforementioned accounts into. I’d retire in my 40s by hopefully expanding my estate substantially and buy some nice land.

Quit my job immediately because I hate it. Then start looking full time for something I really want to do. I have ideas, but having $1mil in the bank would help me devote my time to finding it faster.

Buy a 4 plex somewhere decent, live in one side, rent the other 3, and buy a car.
