So from the way that people reacts. Randazzo, and Meche are the best. There jokes one like Rouses and Dong Phong but seriously.
Is the Meche one because it taste like a doughnut?

I've ordered from a number of the popular king cake bakeries over the years. My favorite is Randazzo's Camellia City location. I slightly prefer them to Manny Randazzo's, greatly prefer them to Haydel's (subpar IMHO).

Yes. I live in Lafayette and while these king cakes are tasty, it is just a big donut with icing on it.

Motherfricker you. They put cream cheese in it too!
It's the tastiest thing EVER. Don't listen to these goobers just b/c Meche's fricked up the whole King Cake industry with this concept.

Boudin King Cake at Earl's Cajun Market in Laffy.

Only problem is that Randazzo's isn't shipping pecan pralines this year.

Meche's.
Do not care if it's a "Donut" or not. DNGAF.
It's by far the best tasting "King Cake" IMO.

This thread is so full of mis-information. Question is best shipped King Cake... not the best fresh local King Cake. Many factors are included... processing, shipping, return/refund policy if something goes wrong, frozen vs fresh, user assembled/frosted or bakery assembled/frosted.
After shipping and receiving many King Cakes, best shipped King Cake is from Ambrosia. Personal fave is Cream Cheese.

Albertsons or the Baker wal-mart, for sure.
