I got to see them and they put on a great show.

I saw them at the Superdome in 1994. I was a freshman at LSU and I remember thinking they were old then....little did I know that 31 years later they would still be kicking.

Is this a serious thread and question?? I'm assuming this is a joke and nobody is really this stupid...

I love the song; it's my favorite Beatles song. (In My Life)

Yep, it's may favorite Beatles song too. It's what catches my attention and makes it such a great commercial.
Wow, that's about 5 minutes or so from my house....

Can't say I've ever been as I quit drinking 10 years ago. We just moved to Idaho about 9 months ago and I am still a little surprised at how red this state is....

The biggest joke is the “think of the kids” guys on social media. Kiffin was the portal king and that Ole Miss squad is all mercenaries. He’ll, half of them are probably coming here.

This is correct and also these aren't the "kids" like they used to be. The good ones are now being paid like professional athletes and with the portal it jus isn't the same as in the days when the "kids" committed to a program and a coach and played for the love of the game. For better or worse, it's becoming more about money now....

I feel disgusting.

As you should. No reason to order the Caniac...

I actually ate a box combo for the first time in awhile last weekend and felt incredibly full and even a little queasy after ingesting that many calories...

There’s actually a decent amount of African people in Boise. DACA was huge in Idaho and a lot of those kids now have kids.

Still a minority, but that pop is growing.

I have to pretty much disagree with this. I live here and the truth is whenever I see a black person it catches my eye. I think, "Oh look, a black person". It's just not that common of a sight.

I just looked it up:

quote:

Here is a more detailed breakdown of Boise's racial and ethnic demographics:

White (Non-Hispanic): This is the largest group, making up around 80.4% of the city's population.

White (Hispanic): This group accounts for approximately 3.21% of the population.

Asian (Non-Hispanic): This group makes up about 3.34% of the population.

Two or More Races (Non-Hispanic): This category is the next largest, at around 3.19%.

Other (Hispanic): This group represents about 2.56% of the population.

Other racial and ethnic groups: Other groups present in the city include those who identify as Black or African American, Native American, and Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander, though these are smaller percentages of the overall population.

So black people make up less than 2.56% of the population.....

I'm in Houston and I'm about to murder some shite. I've fricking had it with this fricking heat. This is bullshite. Its November fricking 21 and we are walking around with sweaty balls in high humidity. WHAT THE frick. Where is the fricking fall weather. God DAMN IT! frick THIS WEATHER!

I'm originally from south Louisiana and had lived in Houston for the past 5 years until we moved to Boise, ID last February. It's hard to explain how much happier I am now, especially when it comes to weather.

There is no fricking humidity here! It's phenomenal. We have four actual season here. I was working here as a consultant all last winter, so I do know what it's like. It's not bad! There was not much snow at all, and while it gets below freezing every night, I just didn't find it that bad. It's not like Minnesota or Wisconsin.

The spring was mild and cool and even the summer wasn't that bad when it got in the 90's because of the low humidity. This fall has been beautiful, especially with the leaves turning orange, etc.

it's currently 45 outside, so while chilly, I am happy to just put on a jacket and enjoy it. I'll light a fire tonight and appreciate that.

frick living in the south again. I love the people and the food, but it's just not worth it anymore with the miserable fricking weather...
It was for this guy! I moved to Boise, ID a few months ago and the first Raising Cane's in Idaho just opened in the Boise area. Hundreds of people started lining up the day before they even opened.

I don't know, it's pretty good and I used to get it from the original location back when I was an LSU student in the 90's....but is it life changing???

This does help to explain why Todd Graves is the richest restaurateur in the world though....

Hanson, who ordered a Caniac Combo of chicken fingers and sauce, fries and Texas Toast, said he’ll “probably … never go to another chicken place again.”

“This is officially the best day of my life,” he said.

I used to play bingo with my mom at her assisted living place before I lost her to Parkinson's, what's your point?

He's just making a joke, so in the same Stripes theme:

quote:

There is a Popeyes on base at Nellis and it’s like walking into the twilight zone. Smiling workers, clean facilities, never have to wait for fresh chicken. It’s incredible.

Oddly enough I have now experienced this twice in my lifetime. There is a Popeye's in The Woodlands, TX close to where I used to live that has amazing service and is spotless.

I now live in Boise, ID and went to a Popeye's here recently and was once again shocked at the service and cleanliness of the restaurant.

Night and day compared to the Popeye's I used to frequent growing up in New Iberia, LA....
Hulu with Live TV is the best bet. You can have similar channels to YouTube TV but also get Hulu and Disney+ for a similar price.

ETA: They have a special right now for $65 for the first 3 months instead of $90.

You never have to worry about them pulling ESPN because they are owned by Disney.
We were set up through a mutual friend when I was living in Thailand. I met her at a restaurant called MK Gold in Phuket, Thailand. It was a higher end version of a standard suki restaurant. This is suki:

"Suki was first introduced to Thai consumers more than three decades ago. While the name suki might sound Japanese – and most people might assume it is a variation of Japanese shabu shabu – suki is actually a twist on a Chinese steamboat dish. But it is uniquely Thai."

Anyway, her English was not the best but I mostly remember how sweet she was. She would serve me the suki from the bowl and helped me figure out how to cook and eat it. Not much was said, but I knew she was special....

That was almost 9 years ago. Now living happily in Boise, ID.

If you guys ever get sick of US women, head to Thailand but just watch out for the gold diggers (and most of them are gold diggers...)
The year I got my undergrad from LSU. I graduated in May, so half the year as a student and the other half partying like it was 1999....oh wait.

Good lord dude, all bullshite aside eating that much junk food on a regular basis will definitely shorten your life. I like a good QPC as much as the next guy, but try to limit fast food to once or twice a month. It should be a rare treat, not something to live off of...
Blanco - New Iberia
Foster - Franklin
Landry - St. Martinville

What recent governor is actually from Lafayette??
