If people left on time, put their phones down, and drove the speed limit in the appropriate lane Jesus might come back to see us.

I dont support 100mph on the freeway, but by far the most dangerous drivers are the ones who rage cut through traffic.

Where I live its an epidemic and it seems to be mostly white dudes between 25-50 driving pickup trucks.

They then proceed to smash the breaks after passing 1-2 cars when the wall of traffic that was slowing the cars in front of them present an impenetrable barrier to their progress.

Louisiana would be better if everyone increased to just the speed limit. Very seldom and short periods where you can actually get to the speed limit.

Sometimes yes. Often it’s someone who is turning right/exiting in two miles and they don’t want to get in the left lane….and they don’t want to slow down.

And even if it’s a scenario like you’re describing, why is this guy on my arse now?

Bottom line is that sometimes you don’t get to go as fast as you want. Sometimes you simply have to slow down and wait a minute. This is difficult for a lot of people.

15 over better than 15 under?

Limits better than no limits?

Zen better than Canes sauce?

I never drive more than 5 mph over the speed limit.

As a rideshare driver who puts 5000 miles a month in his car, speeders rely of the rest of us who drive consistently and keep a safe distance between vehicles. I can't count how many F150s, Chargers, and Mustangs would be smashed if I went a little faster than they expect when darting between lanes above 15 mph over the limit.

If everyone drove the same speed the world would be a better place, speed doesn’t cause problems, difference in speeds causes problems

I’m sure this applies everywhere, but you see a lot of folks moving to Denver / Salt Lake City who think this way. Massive trucks (clean wheels) driving 30 over and running red lights. Ultimately they’re all man-babies who watched too much Yellowstone and ignore several stages of reality in order to have a lifestyle that doesn’t actually fit their true scenario. Reality: don’t buy a “dream mountain getaway” when you still need to drive an hour+ to a job in order to afford it. The fact that you still need that job means you couldn’t “afford it” by all conventional measures. If you insist on doing that, don’t saddle everyone else with the realities of your decision by driving like a maniac every day. Just leave earlier, and be okay getting home later. If you can’t leave earlier or get home on time because of family / child obligations, again, you could not in fact afford the lifestyle.


Oh and doing all the above in a 2025 F-150 doesn’t make it look more legitimate, it just makes it easier for everyone else to tell that you’re going through a mid-life crisis.
