Would someone mind explaining why GEPS Ensembles have looked like this pretty much consistently for Ian? Don't they usually start to tighten up a little?

I’ve got a buddy in Lakeland. He says he’s staying.

Which neighborhood? Some are higher and better equipped to drain. There is a huge drop-off on the west side.

If you dislike your girlfriend's parents enough to stay during a major hurricane, you may need to rethink your relationship.

My buddy that rode out Ida at his house in Lockport is still traumatized from the experience. He was always a gonna stay, he’s Team GTFO now.

Or....and hear me out on this......maybe he could invite them down for a hurricane party and see what happens....

If you are looking to make a late evacuation, usually about six hours before landfall is the time to go. I left for Ida about four hours before landfall and had no trouble; for Katrina it got a little dicey in Mississippi. Also, I went east and north, not west to Texas, which is a shite show.

If I was in Tampa and wanted to "stay close and help", I'd find a place in Fort Lauderdale-West Palm and wait it out

This thing is making that NE turn. I finally updated the radar after a while and it was pretty clear.

I remember a bunch of stay or leave discussion in the Ida thread. I havent seen a south Louisiana baw or bawette advise people stay this year

I left the morning of Ida. I woke up and saw the NHC guidance and the thread here where it had intensified so I woke my wife up and said we're packing a bag and driving north.

I watched the thread from a hotel in Jackson and kept relaying information to my parents who stayed. They said it was the most scared they've ever been in their lives, and they had never evacuated for a storm before. They said next time they will. If you can leave, leave.

Can you have the Zombied Queen refuse to eat Megan Markle and just push her off of a cliff? Some comment aboot her not liking dark meat would seem to be art imitating life.

Has PeeJ given his prediction on landfall location yet?

That's where I would evacuate to

No, not at all. You have Bonita, Naples, Marco. Alligator Alley is east of Marco and Naples. The coast is populated. The middle of the state in this area is sparsely populated.

I guess that was more my point, I thought the Tampa area is way more populated inland than the SW region.

You thinking landfall even further south or was this the anticipated turn?
