re: Let's talk solutions for the Tiger Stadium experience - mightynine
There's a reason why so many teams - at all levels - are trying to add to the "gameday experience" with a bunch of things that have nothing to do with the product on the field - it's because if you just want to watch the game, it's far easier, convenient and enjoyable to watch it on your gigantic hi...
I don't get why the attic wouldn't be a good spot if you have means to escape. I'd rather weather the storm in a covered attic then deal with pouring rains and wind on top of my roof
If the water's still rising, you're gonna drown in the attic....

re: Hurricane Irma - Spinning Down - mightynine
Call me crazy, but it really looks like a move to the northwest on the last frames more than a wobble or a stall. https://twitter.com/ChrisSuchanKCTV/status/906363792895987712 Again, I am no expert....

The "GIF overtime" seems to line up pretty well with the same thing from the NHC. http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/archive/2017/IRMA_graphics.php?product=5day_cone_no_line But what the hell do I know?...

re: Hurricane Irma - Spinning Down - mightynine
Yeah, I can't even figure out why some are arguing here and what the point is now. It started a little west a earlier in the week. Went east. Now back west. All within reason and we know that more than three days from landfall is pretty difficult to predict. Seems that the forecasters...

The EURO ensembles don't really seem to have shifted that far west to justify that big of a jump in the operational model. But I am definitely no expert....

re: Hurricane Irma - Spinning Down - mightynine
So it looks like this Euro run just shows the models still don't have a good idea on just when the turn to the north will happen. I wonder if they truly won't until 12-24 hours out....
