You'd think with all the state offices downtown, some politician would've come up with the idea to stagger starting times in 30 minute increments.
DOTD - everyone starts at 7:00, leaves at 4:00
Public Service Commission - everyone starts at 7:30, leaves at 4:30
DA's Office - everyone start at 8:00, leaves at 5:00
Etc., etc.

Drive the great circle route through Mississippi to get to the Northshore from Cenla. That works as long as I12 isn't backed up between Hammond and Covington, which it is sometimes.
