When that fat baw on 600lb life can literally cry wolf and get over 100 prescriptions in the city of Houston for pain meds, we clearly have a broken system.

We also clearly have a population full of pussies now.

Because of Obamas war on sick people, many people that need medicine are forced to turn to dangerous street drugs like marijuana when doctors refuse to treat them

Hasn't touched me or mine yet either.

Seems you are ignorant on the topic as well. You better fall to your knees and thank God that it hasn't affected you of your family, yet. This isn't a "poor" epidemic. I would guess that is is more likely to affect middle to upper class individuals.

Until you have survived the hell of a family member going through this, you have no idea.

get addicted even without abusing the dosage

I can attest to the desensitization effect of opioids. over a 9-month period, I was given fentanyl 4 times, same dosage, before procedures. I was totally zonked for the first one, for some time; zonked for shorter time on second; half-asleep for about 5 mins for third; and awake the entire time for the fourth. f that.

White people are ODing, so it's a huge epidemic and it's everyone else's fault.

Do you have a link for this? Hezbollah trafficked in cocaine most definitely, but this is the first time I've heard of them trafficking in heroin.

What a stupid concept. So I guess god just likes his family better than the ones who have been affected?

our bodies have opioid receptors and they change with more use. that's how people end up taking like 100/day and not die

Yeah . My brother had a motorcycle accident and was in long term care- not supposed to live. He got hooked on pain meds and overdosed . My only sibling.

I have a 21 year old second cousin who overdosed last year in Fla- I don’t know him but he’s from a good family.

A kid that was a fanboy for my kid’s band Od’d Last year as well . I think I heard on the news something like 120 deaths last year in the BR area. So yeah, it’s a thing . Fentanyl in the heroin and Oxy particularly. Talk to any street cop. And of course it’s trashy. Every single thing about it is trashy. It’s why blowjobs go for like seven dollars in the hood and backpage is a growth industry.

Sessions is a worthless idiot.

Yes he is.

quote:

Jeff Sessions says everyone should take aspirin post-surgery and the opioid epidemic will be solved.

But this part is not completely false. It sure would slow it down a lot. Doctors are adapting and starting to give fewer pain pills and sometimes no pain pills to their patients for minor surgeries.

I tore my labrum about 5 years ago and had it fixed and my doctor gave me a bunch of oxycodone for the first few days and nearly a month's worth of hydrocodone. That was ridiculous. I probably needed 3-4 days of hydrocodone, and that's it.

That shite needs to stop.

quote:

marijuana has led to the opioid epidemic as well.

Sessions is just a fricking moron. And needs to be removed from his position before he does permanent damage to this country.

He's also pro-privatized prison lobby and has staunchly defended civil asset forfeiture, which is so fricked up there are no words.

Forgive me for being numb to an endless stream of PSA’s daily from the Ad Council and others.

In case you haven’t noticed, almost everything is a crisis these days.

I think it's all manufactured hysteria.

Do they need to find a way to develop paid meds without addicting qualities? Absolutely they do.

Do I think though that ultimately it is the responsibility of the person taking the drug as far as continuing to take the medication? Absolutely so.

Yeah, they have gotten a lot stricter when it comes to prescription pain killers. It is progress.
