That's retarded.

Michelle Obama tried to address childhood obesity and got crucified for it.
Her method was terrible. You cannot force people to eat healthy like she tried to with school children. People have to be told that it is not ok to be fat. They need to understand the health risks of being fat. Instead, we have created a society that says, "It is ok if you are fat." Richard Simmons did way more to address weight that Michelle Obama did.
1. Reduce calories
2. Exercise more / be more active
3. Make smart choices
4. Don't eat until you are full

The definition of being outdoors in the South is eating chips and guzzling Bud Light on a beach or a deer stand. I see so many fat girls on dating apps who profess their love for the "outdoors" and I can only shake my head.

It's gone beyond that. Just look at all the morbidly obese models appearing everywhere.
Being fat isn't just accepted, it's being celebrated.

When I have kids, they will eat the healthy food I provide or they will starve

Step up your beach game. I did not notice too many fatties in Rosemary last week.
But, A LOT of 'I want to speak to the manager' haircuts. Amirite?

That's because you are their parent, dipshit. I'm talking about a political figure trying to start a health program by forcing it on people. That is entirely different.

Not to continue hating on you but... seriously? You are knocking someone who actually stood up and tried to implement change and encourage a healthy lifestyle?
Perhaps it wasn't an immediate success but can't we appreciate that someone in such a high position actually took a stand against child obesity and did what they thought was best to change it?
Maybe she should have just posted on message boards bitching about the issue and not having one single idea to illicit change.

Go hike a 10 mile loop. When you get to mile 5, just stop for awhile. The women who pass you are the women you want to be with.

It's different, but the schools can absolutely only serve healthy options instead of pizza and other bullshite, and they should.

Not really, kids either eat healthy food that school provides or they bring their own. Pretty simple

I just mentioned why it failed. The intent was good but the execution was very poor and led to the failure and probably some push-back as well. What has to happen is to get people to wake up to the fact that being fat is not ok and then lead them to how they can live healthy. Forcing kids to eat stuff that they won't eat at home doesn't do anything to fix the problem. They will just leave the broccoli uneaten on their lunch tray and tear open the bag of Cheetos and pour a gallon of Koolaid down their throats when they get home.

I went to a small Episcopal elementary school and we were served Pizza Hut, McDonalds, Sonic, Picadilly, and plate lunches from various grocery stores. I don't remember many fat kids, certainly not the number that are waddling around today.

Time to end the breakfast charade. Lunch being your first meal of the day should be the norm.

It won't matter if the parents don't do the same thing at home. Parents are the problem.
You would think that some of these parents would look at their 8 year old that is the size of a small car, and consider putting them on a diet, but instead, they just don't care because they, themselves are planets and so is everyone else around them. It's a mental problem.

For most it would be a great start, but if you drink a 6 pack every night on the couch, it's not gonna matter, just gonna slow the fat gain down.

Kids need more activity, less snacks.

No place bitches about fatties more than the OT. It's an upset if there isn't a daily thread about fatties.
