According to Louisiana Secretary of State data, Democrats narrowly outpaced Republicans in turnout Saturday, with 1,073,370 Democrats, or 36.2 percent, casting ballots compared to 1,053,102 Republicans, or 35 percent.

your LA Pollster article is poorly written or they are stupid. Do those morons actually think that 1,073,370 people voted in the election on a democrat ballot? for that to be true, there must be 700,000 Mail-in ballots because that is what is missing from what is actually shown on secretary of state's webpage. do the math yourself.

344,751 voted for US senator on the Democratic Party - the reported 1,073,370 "casting ballots" = 728,619 mail-in ballots.

f someone runs as no party but loses ending primary to a democrat, can they run in the general election as a republican?

For example, the current Mayor of Abbeville lost in the primary, but doesn’t have a party affiliation.

really? It was a two-person race for mayor, it wasn't a "primary", Someone had to have more that 50% of the vote so Abbeville got a new major.

What am I missing? Only 5800 graduated? Is that normal? Seems extremely low to me regardless of the number of applicants.

You are missing that most high school graduate students apply at the same time (to begin college in the fall), but they do not graduate at the same time.

Not all of them finish in 4 years (some take longer some shorter) .I am pretty sure like most colleges, AT LSU there is a Spring, Summer, and Fall graduation. That is why the application number is greater than the number of graduates in the spring.
He is no different than most of us on the OT, we almost all perverts, How many of you guys and gals post "wood nut in Cider" gifs to random pictures on the OT.

Just looking at the "talent" at the news station LINK i am sure we can come up with a list of WYHI's and a few "seen better on the quad".

I only question it because I don’t really see the benefits vs their already established facilities in Texas and it breaks the “rule” of having a coast to the east for safety reasons.

The land is cheap and it's closer to the facility in texas that they are building the Starship rocket in. There is a huge body of water to the south for the "safety reasons". Maybe they have figured out a way to launch rockets pointed to the south? or they don't care that it might take more fuel or maybe the rocket turns towards the east after travelling south over the gulf.

Maybe the earth really is flat and there was no benefit launching to the east and elon just decided to not continue the lie.

edit. maybe launched "southeast" would work.

We are planning a trip to Pigeon Forge this summer and looking for some feedback on activities, sites, places to eat, etc. Group of 6 people (4 adults and 2 kids). Looking for some suggestions on a variety of activities. Found a few things online, such as alpine coasters and knife making. Already have Dolly World and the Titanic Museum on the plans.

get up super early if you want to go into the mountains, those parking lots fill up quickly all along the road up the mountain, and i think you have to pay for parking tags now...dont' want to see you guys on this guy's show.

If you never need to pass through arkansas on I30, I did it for you.

Someone explained this math to me. The first sentence says that it takes 1 minute per drawing. However it can do 100 drawings in 5 minutes?

yeah, his math is a little off, he says his program can do the drawing in "batches" saying it can do 10 drawings at the same time, maybe he meant more that 10 drawing in a minute. 10 drawing X 5 minutes is not 100.

I just looked at rooms at the Polynesian resort in June for 5 nights. Port Orleans is 288 a night.
Why do some people pay that much for a room if you are at the parks all day?

You are paying to use the fantastic pools and the sandy beach, it looks like a tropical paradise. You are not just sleeping at the Polynesian.

If everybody just paid to sleep, we would only have Motel 6s.

Then if you take highland from downtown to campus, that’s a shitshow.

you really think any of the coaches at LSU live downtown? who is commuting daily from downtown to campus?

Nobody with means is living downtown or north of downtown because of the industrial plants. If you have means and want to live "intown", you would pick something off of jefferson in the area north of 10/12, south of florida, and west of airline. South of independence park, maybe stay south of Goodwood. There are several nice areas off of jefferson extending on to tiger bend.

If you wanted out of the city, go southeast of campus on nicholson, pick something in one of those nicer newer subdivisions,

If you want out out of the city, keep going on hwy 30 and get a nice place in the duplessis area, or go further to dutchtown or across I10 something in praireville or galvez. You can actually cross the amite and get to I 12 if you want to go the florida beaches without heading towards baton rouge or towards new orleans.

or, if you could just live north of amite in livingston off of I12.

Baton rouge is not the "hood" you guys make it out to be. is not a large city but It is not that hard to avoid "bad areas",

unless you believe the coach at LSU needs to buy maypop tires, or has to have blue store chicken, he would never see the seedy side of baton rouge,

Now the zoo, i will give you. but It is not impossible to get to the zoo without seeing poor people, but if you some you will be okay.

The only thing to remember about LSU is to stay away from streets named after presidents.
