but its also kinda funny how much the OT takes up for smokers at times
They all need to be allowed to make their own decisions, but they should both be shamed and charged SIGNIFICANTLY more for any health insurance.

It's odd that you need a health screening for life insurance, but not health insurance

Because with health insurance you're still going to pay the bulk of it regardless.

Fast food is not responsible for the obesity problem.

Seriously the govt should ban sugars and processed foods.

You want the very same organization that caused the problem to begin with to be the solution?

Smoking wasn’t outright banned.

It decreased significantly through shaming, PSAs, and general education.

I don't agree with it.

I just know its coming.

Especially once the government takes over healthcare...

It is a drug, hands down. There are some VERY good books and research out there right now about the case against sugar.

Agreed but I do think some onus of responsibility needs to be placed on consumers. I have a sugar addiction but I’m not a morbidly obese fat cow waddling around.

People who guzzle liters of soda and eat bread all day and finish themselves off with cookies and ice cream aren’t victims of the sugar industry. That’s just plain stupidity or intentional unhealthy choices.

Not when we have introduced addictive sugars into all of our food.

Sugar is the main ingredient I look for in labels - but mostly just stick to eating whole foods and little to no processed foods. But once it is part of your lifestyle (aka kids eating it on a normal basis) then they are addicted, its very hard to self control.

Everything with kids is structured around sugar.

Kids learn at an early age that sugar is a reward.

Its unavoidable. Its in school, homes, doctor offices, the dentist...everywhere.
