Respectfully, you are talking about stress due to one person in your life. Which is not what I was referring to.
There is great blessing in appreciating the things you mentioned, and practicing gratitude is so important, however some brains just are not wired that way.

I just think you're not living with an end in mind myself. In a way, your statement in contradicting itself.
Being satiated in life can be a bad thing. It doesn't always have to be tied to financial security, but other beneficial side pursuits. Analyze that gap between why you crave a struggle (likely in career or money) vs cultivating calming interests like simply pouring low stress hours into your kid's, spouse's, family's or friend's relationship and success. You'll have it licked not worrying so much about You when you give yourself to others.
