Searched, didn’t see anything.

Forbes

quote:

The new bill filed in the House on Wednesday by Rep. Earl Blumenauer (D-OR) is titled the Regulate Marijuana Like Alcohol Act. If passed, it would remove cannabis from the federal Controlled Substances Act.

quote:

The current legislation, which Blumenauer picked up from former Rep. Jared Polis (D-CO), who was sworn in on Tuesday as Colorado’s new governor, would also transfer cannabis enforcement authority from Drug Enforcement Administration to a renamed Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Marijuana, Firearms and Explosives.

quote:

A similarly renamed Alcohol, Tobacco and Marijuana Tax and Trade Bureau within the Department of the Treasury would also have oversight authority, as would the Food and Drug Administration. Federal permits would be issued for cultivating, packaging, selling and importing marijuana.

quote:

Shipping or transporting marijuana into states that have not legalized it would be prohibited.

Support and I’ve never even smoked weed. Frick the government for classifying a plant. Same goes for shrooms.

There's probably a legalization bill introduced in every Congress.

It won't pass. But it should.

You'd think Phillip-Morris would love this as a way to reinvent themselves.

Whichever party passes it wins a generation. Makes too much sense so we need to keep it illegal.

I guess not everyone has their head up their arse in Oregon.

Eta....if only I had hope it would make it out of the house.

I'm for legalization but the "it's a plant" argument is fricking ridiculous to me. Poison oak is a plant too, but I doubt it's harmless when smoked.

Funny you say that...

Business Insider

quote:

Denver, Colorado could become the first US city to decriminalize psychedelic mushrooms after a campaign gathered enough signatures to put a "magic" mushrooms measure on the ballot for the municipal elections in May. Kevin Matthews, the campaign director of Denver for Psilocybin, told local news outlet NBC 9 that more than 8,000 people signed off on advancing the measure, which needed 4,279 signatures to proceed. The city's elections office has 25 days to verify the signatures' legitimacy.

Would you support the legalization of smoking poison oak?

Is it illegal? If you have poison oak growing in your yard, the feds aren't coming for it.

Your argument is stupid.

That they’ll be safer getting it from a dispensary instead of the hood at 3 am?

I haven't smoked weed in 15 years but I think I'd like to grow it. I need a new hobby.

Why don’t you go roll a joint and let us know? Who knows, you could have just found the new “gateway” drug.

Consider myself fairly conservative and I would like to see the legalization within my lifetime.
