This is gonna sound like I am joking, but I am dead serious. Establish dominance.

My stupid arse neighbor's dog used to bark all the time, day or night. Any time it heard anything it would go out the dog door onto their back patio and bark incessantly. Several times I had to to over and knock on their door to tell them to control their dog. One night (around 10:30 or 11) it even barked for like ten or 15 minutes straight before I went over there to yell at it, only to have the neighbor come outside and bring the dog in. She apologized for it, but I was like just shut your fricking dog up when you hear it barking like crazy.

So one day it was barking and nobody was home. And I went to the mutual fence and went off on the dog. Just yelled in my deep arse man voice at it to shut the frick up and go inside. Did it for about a minute. And the dog tucked its tail between its legs and went inside quietly. After that every time it barked and wouldn't stop all I had to do was go outside and stare at it over the fence and point inside, and it would go. It was great.

In recent months we noticed we don't hear it anymore, so they either got rid of it or it died. I hope it died.

Dogs bark at the mailman, and UPS man and others because they think it works. They bark, the person comes to the door. They bark louder, the person goes away. In their dumb arse doggy brain, their barking was the reason they went away.

Same deal with you in your back yard. You go away, dog thinks it's barking is why.

The dog was never properly social trained.

call the cops again and again. i had to do it four times because of the neighbor’s dachshund…loud mouthed little bastard!!
last two calls were after midnight.
that was years ago. now the dog gets put inside around 10pm.

I am sure that there are some over the counter medications that are likely to kill the dog. Do your research and find a solution...a final solution.

Post Script: Do not use your computer to google search for said medications, law enforcement can make a pretty good case against you based on your internet searches. Drive down to the library and do your research the old fashioned way, look inside a book.

Honest to God I had this same exact problem.. next door neighbors have 2 German Shepard’s, and one of them as soon as I would walk outside my back yard or let my 2 dogs out he would start barking and wouldn’t stop until me and my dogs would go inside…

After talking to the neighbors politely they started bringing there dog in at 10:30 at night so he wouldn’t bark while people were sleeping, but never stopped him when I would go outside

so I took my outside patio speaker and would point it at the neighbors house and randomly for about 2 weeks would walk outside turn it up to 80% and play some random dogs barking and howling off YouTube for about 5-10 mins the would stop … after about 2 weeks of doing this, suddenly I rarely ever see the dogs outside anymore

Not quite this extreme but my neighbor back in Monroe had a hound dog and we lived in the burbs. No shite, a fricking hound dog and that damn dog would howl so loud that I literally had to wear ear plugs he was so loud. If he was outside when I was he would run the fence howling. My solution was my water hose. I had a hose right on the side of my house by their fence and I just peeked over the fence one day and nailed that retarded marmaduke mother fricker in the face and he literally ran back to their patio. I think one time he tried to howl again and I just sprayed water over the fence. Never heard from him again.
