Your insurance will likely settle with him out of court for 50-75% of your liability.

Make sure you have high liability limits. If that medical bill goes over 25k, you're on the hook for it if you have state minimum limits (which is fricking retarded to have just the minimum)

State Farm is one of the only companies that will tell scammers like the dude in the OP and their lawyers to frick off.

Damn right he is, I have had my kids tap a couple, and they got paid. Not even a damn scratch on mine, either time.

I had this happen to me years ago. We went to court and they ended up putting the “injured driver”, who was a high school kid (so was I) on the stand. The lawyer asked him why he quit the basketball team...apparently the answer was supposed to be because of his injury, but he said “cause I wasn’t gettin no PT”

My insurance still paid a little, but not much.

Been there had that done to me.

Yep, they call these nuisance cases at least that is what my insurance agent told me. I was a benefactor of this and didn't even try. About 10 years ago I got rear ended by a guy that had progressive insurance. Did a little damage to the back of my truck. It was a pretty hard lick and I felt a little tightness in my back. I went to my personal doctor just to make sure everything was ok. He told me to just take it easy for a few days and this was on a tuesday evening. I ended up taking the rest of the week off of work. When progressive contacted me I told them all wanted was my 3 days lost wages. Dr visit and meds ( probably 150 bucks ) not sure I used my insurance and I wanted my truck fixed. I even took my truck to one of their preferred shops to speed up the process. They fixed my truck and sent me a check for close to 5000 dollars. I called them and asked if that was correct and they said that is what they calculated my losses as. No way was I asking for that, but I wasn't going to argue. My agent says insurance companies do that in accidents like that basically to make people go away.

Neither car's airbag deployed.

The medical liability is 100,000.

They should not get a nickle, but probably will get several thousand.

Jeez - stories like the ones in this thread make me hate people.

Girl I knew in high school (no pics, you wouldn’t want them of this girl anyway) accidentally backed into a larger woman of a certain demographic sitting in her car at a grocery store. She was driving a Buick and the woman was in a shitty Sentra. Minor dents on both cars; could’ve easily settled out of pocket, but the woman insisted on filing a police report.

This lady was fine until my friend’s wealthy looking dad pulled up in his brand new Lexus. It was then the woman miraculously started suffering “back pain.”

Their insurance ended up settling for $10K.
