You will be fighting this. Will have to take days off of work to go to court.

People suck.

My brother in law was in similar accident. No issues.

Until 7 months later when the person he hit went to work for one of the big personal injury lawyers. All of a sudden there was soft tissue damage. Debilitating injury that seemed to not prevent all sorts of outdoor activities chronicled on Facebook, but affected work.

$100,000

Insurance would not fight it.

Even when not tailgating many women seem to trust the brakes will work the same time every time no matter the road conditions or speed they are going.

They do not understand how to decelerate.

Sadly, he will milk it for a payday. For you to accept the screwing, just know that Karma is going to go in dry and frick him over twice the amount he steals from you and insurance.

The police and ambulance guys were kind of laughing at the guy and knew he was looking for a payday.

I can only imagine how often they see the same demographic do shady things like this...and some idiots have the nerve to question why some demographics are singled out - because THEY are the ones that break the law!

I don’t have any particular thoughts on OP. I know there is fraud that goes on. I also know the physics of collisions and biomechanics of the body mean that the amount of physical damage to the car is not always indicative of the amount of force exerted on the body in the collision.

These things are more jury research threads to me.

My little sister bumped into this POS car pulling away from a stoplight. The car was in such bad shape, the cop couldn't find where she hit it, and she didn't have any damage to her car. My step-dad showed up, and they sat there for a minute when the guy and his passenger pulled off. They drove about 1/2 mile to a PI attorney's office. After that, they gave the insurance Co paperwork that showed they went directly to the ER, and left there and went directly to a chiropractor in the same strip mall as the shady attorney. Of course, they got awarded the max from the policy.

Insurance companies don't really care about settling for smaller amounts, and everyone knows this. They just jack up premiums to more than cover the costs, so they don't even want to fight lawsuits

Pretty sure you're describing a pimp. He's looking to trap your daughter into a personal services contract to work off the damages. She should be able to find a few videos to let her know what to expect.
