Way to many variables to even give a ballpark price

Same size house I paid $21,000 in 2024. I had a few slopes and valleys.

I had my roof replaced on a house that size in Baton Rouge around 2022. I didn’t have an insurance claim, it was just due. Red Stick Roofing quoted $40K and seemed disinterested because I was paying out of pocket, everyone else quoted about $22K.
Good lord. Let's say your roof is semi steep and your 2300 sq tf home has 30 squares. That's $1,333 a square. We can do standing seam metal cheaper than that

If she has a two car carport or garage and roof is a 6/12 or close you are probably in the 34-36 sq range. Depending where you are you will get prices between $12-$18,000

We just had ours done by premier south and our sq ft is 2035, and it was $26,000. Ours was paid by Allstate, and our deductible was $1000 which they just took out of the settlement check.
Shouldn't this be covered by her insurance though?

We don’t know how this works.
I think I they’re sending her a check. Don’t know for how much.

It's area dependent, but was quoted around $30K for 5,000 st/ft
She's looking at 1%-2% deductible depending on insurance policy

Likely closer to $20k, unless its a basic ranch with little pitch/angles.

Ah well the adjuster should provide an estimate if you’ve filed a claim, then if they agree to replace it they’ll send a check for whatever the estimate is minus her deductible.
If you contact a roofer, they’ll ask for the estimate and then send you a quote for pretty close to that.

My last one for hail damage was $48,000. There is more to it than shingles, make sure an expert signs off on no extra damage.

Do you want to give me your email and I can email you and give you some tips? I'm in North LA and do this every day. In email I can get your phone number and call and give you some advice.
With a claim like this you can end up screwing yourself and be out a lot of money if you don't handle it right. Nothing wrong with not knowing how this works, most don't, but always good to get some knowledge of the best way to approach this claim.
