Couple grand I think. I had my grandmother's diamond so only had to buy the ring and setting.

Nope, but she went easy on the settlement, so it all evens out. I didn’t have to pay rediculous alimony or anything.

2200 at an antique store bc she wanted an antique ring. 18 years ago. It was certainly not whatever percent or how much of your salary you are “supposed” to spend. She was more concerned with marrying me and not how much I spent on the ring.

Around $1,800 in 2010. After my wife lost it at the beach last month, she got a replacement that's basically the same thing (4 C's) , but it was 1/2 off. So not only was I pissed she lost it, but I was pissed I overpaid 10 years ago

I think I spent about two grand fifteen years ago. The wife has upgraded her wedding set a couple of times since then so she probably has about twelve grand on her finger currently. Depends, I think she has a Tiffany set and a Cartier set.

I didn't spend several months salary either. I also made a hell of a lot less money back then. I hope my wife doesn't ask for an upgrade

Take it for what it’s worth but wife number one I spent a shade over 12k because she “needed” that much of a ring.
My current wife I spent well under 2k, actually think it was 1600, and am as happy now as I was the day we got married. She’s dropped it twice losing a diamond on one drop, cracked the band on the wedding ring, and it’s never been properly cleaned. But she wears it with pride.

Right about $12k. Don't regret it at all, she loves it. I also don't ever plan on buying her an upgrade
