First go-round...$1200.
37 years, wonderful woman. Passed away

#2 provided her mom's rock (appraisal was $26k!)and I bought the setting. That was around $2500 I think. KG does beautiful work.

$800. After 25 years replaced it with a $20,000 ring.

Best I can remember, 7-8K (I’m OT poor). Wanted to spend much closer to 5(I’m also OT cheap), but I saw one I knew she’d like, and I was correct.

When The Lovely & Talented Mrs. Lammo and I wed in 1980, we were twenty-somethings and poor, so she did not get an engagement ring. We bought modest matching wedding bands of 14K gold, $90 for hers and $100 for mine.

She never had a diamond wedding ring for many years until my mother gave Mrs. Lammo her old ring. Mom didn't want it any more because she and Dad divorced after 28 years of marriage.

Eventually the L&TML got a 4 diamond wedding ring and matching diamond band that would make any woman drool. Once again, we bought them together with shared funds. Total cost in excess of $35K.

She definitely earned them dealing with three active kids and my crazy arse.

Shop that shite out. It appraised for over double what I paid. Also dont go to jewelry shops, find a diamond dealer.

Stone appraised for 14k.

$3800 in 1990. I believe this is about $7500 in today's dollars based on inflation.

22 years ago probably around $3k.

What I REALLY regret is the thousands I spent on sluts and whores back in the day. I'd like to spend that on my wife and daughter today.
