The retirement discussion got me thinking about it.

Personally, I haven’t and won’t. My kids did get some from their mother’s family, enough for a down payment on a house. I’m glad for them.

How about y’all?

My husband and I inherited recreational property. It's value is pretty significant.

Well, in that case, I inherited "significant assets" and Mrs. Midnight inherited "hella" significant assets.

I received Dad's "Marine Room" stuff, Marine memorabilia from 1943 to 1974 when he retired. The only value was sentimental. The flight logs are interesting to read. I also have an arming pin from a nuke test weapon.

The Marine Room had been harvested a bit, with a few key things missing, including a "short snorter" with Chesty Puller's signature.
