I think that eventually you will see some sort of wall covering that is the TV. This tech will allow you to make the viewing area as large or small as you want with a few button pushes on the remote. For that matter, I could see all the walls in a room having this covering so you can move the viewing area around as you move. Want to finish watching the game while starting dinner? Send the image into the kitchen. Can't hold it at the end of the fourth quarter? Send the image onto the bathroom wall so you don't miss a crucial play.
I’m already mad about how annoying the bugs will be on this for the first several iterations

For 8’ standard ceilings 196” is all you can fit.
240” for 10’ ceilings
294” for 12’ ceilings.

I bought a 75” tv like 2 weeks ago for maybe $380 or something? fricking insane. Felt free almost. Ended up buying the exact same TV in 43” for my office for like $130 and a 50” for the bedroom for $180.
My dad bought a 55” Sony 1080 tv in 2005 that was as deep as it was wide and Jesus I think he paid like $4000 for it.

My wife and I bought a 46" DLP in 2004 or so. It was $3700 or something like that. That's about the equivalent of $6500 today.

Our home luckily has a theater in the basement which is 110 inches. Thats where we watch our movies and sports.

From what I understand it depends on how far away you are seated from your tv to determine what size you need.
As far quality Oled is the better option

Recently checked out the 98" TCL QM7K at Best Buy and holy crap what picture. Was on sale for $1899 and free delivery and setup.
that’s the TV I’m about to buy, that or the 86” version. It depends on what size buffet my wife orders to go underneath it. It should work out to where she orders and gets the buffet just in time for the TCL to get a $300-400 price drop for Labor Day.

This was in the mid 90s, I remember we got a 32" TV and that was big time for us. I remember thinking "I can't wait to watch football on this thing!" I had a 23" in my bed room.. It was my sister's tv and when she moved out I got it.. It didn't have a RC and cable wasn't hooked up to it and watching saved by the bell on Saturday morning was a little blurry, but it was in my room... I could watch whatever I wanted as long as it was on one of 4 channels.

I have a 40 inch.Wife had custom cabinets built with a space for TV,sits on a pull out shelf.A 42 “ might fit.
I could fit a 55” or maybe a 60” over the fireplace but I don’t want to.
We don’t watch much TV anyway. Not gamers,I’m not a sports fan so I really don’t care.
Wife watches some football but she’s ok with the 40”.

When I built my house I was going to go 65in.
My AV guy said I don't care where you buy from but if you can afford it, go 75 because your living room will swallow a 65 in.
He was right. It practically swallowed the 75.

100" will be almost standard before we all switch to short throw.

Reading the replies, we have multiple people in here with home theaters with 100"+ TVs. That's OT Baller type stuff.
Growing up in the eighties I had a friend with a 27" CRT which I thought was a home theater in and of itself.

They need to bring back curved TVs! Such a great idea for a flat wall. My in-laws have one and I laugh every time I see it
